Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Alright everyone, the giveaway is officially closed.

It might take me a bit to get the drawing ready to go, as I’ll be multitasking working on this and dinner at the same time. So please bear with me, I should be back in an hour or so (?) with a winner.

Here’s the full list of entrants. I don’t think I missed anyone (I checked at least twice), but if you posted an entry and don’t see your name on the list, speak now or forever hold your peace! 😉

Well done Barrett, your GL-24 has been a fantastic project from start to finish, and you have handled it immaculately my friend :) The giveaway is a bonus, and the prize is super special :)
True😎
I think it would be difficult to view pictures over the telegraph 😉
🤣
Great work! 🤣
Cool pic Pete :) Nice to see you're not going thirsty ;)

That's a smashing pic Jack :)
For some added good news, this barley crop is actually very clean with good yield potential. A rare sight this year! 👍🏼👍🏼

Congratulations 👍👍
Good luck everyone, and thank you Barrett @btb01 for your generosity. It was fun! 😁

Looks tasty Pat :)
My Lambsfoot of the Week is Cracker Jack, my Ashley's Choice stag lambsfoot from a Jack Black SFO; IIRC mine arrived mid-September 2018.
It might be my most photogenic lambsfoot, or at least the one of which I've taken the most photos. One of its positive characteristics is the different looks of the stag on the two sides of the handle. Here are a couple of the earliest photos I took of Cracker Jack; I'll be posting more throughout the week, as is my current custom.

Nice pics Gary :)
Alright everyone, I appreciate your patience… the wait is over, and it’s time to announce the winner!

The drawing was, of course, done using the latest in random data selection technology — an old typewriter, some paper, scissors and a hat. 😁

I got all the entries folded up, added to the hat and mixed up pretty well.

Then I called in some small, impartial hands to make the selection.

And the winner is…
Superbly handled Barrett :)

Thanks again to every for participating, and for all your enthusiasm around the whole 2024 Guardians knife project. I really appreciate it! 🙂
Congratulations Tyson, that's an amazing Lambsfoot :)
Thanks gents for the happy birthday wishes!

Thanks Jeremy. The more expensive bourbons and scotch come and go but there's always Knob Creek 9 here. :)

Thanks Barrett. 7 hrs and 21 min on the pork butt.

Thank you Mitch!

I agree about the Buffalo Trace. It is very hard to come by here but the new Chris Stapleton bourbon called "Traveller" by Buffalo Trace is very close and it's readily available here.

I have no doubt it is very difficult. I've just about decided to start building them myself. :D Old trucks, not planes for me.

It was a great party mate!
Glad to hear it was a great party Dwight 😋:)
I can just hear Tool Man and company holding forth on Plato's cave! 😆😂🤣
Honestly mate, Tool Man is the brightest of them by far!🤣

I guess I better get some lamb content in here...

That's a sweet one Dwight :)
I once had to deliver a mini about 160 miles away for a friend, there was one hic-cup though, had virtually no brakes. Reckon that wasn't a hairy drive.
 I used to work on the Sheffield City Council fleet, and they sure were in a state! Drivers would take pride in being able to change gears without using the clutch! One time, me and my fitter were going out on a brake-down, and were told to take a Mini that was in the shop. I got in, put it into reverse, looked over my shoulder so I could back it out, and it shot forward, and went straight through some poor old guy's work-bench! Nobody was hurt fortunately, but the Mini was a write off, the bench needed rebuilding, and the charge-hand who'd told us to take the Mini out got a bollocking - turned out it was in the shop because the gearbox was knackered, and it was going into first rather than reverse!
Looking sharp Mitch :)
Cool pic David  :D

OOOOPPPSSSS 🙂
Thank you :)

Good morning Guardians, what a fantastic way to end the GL-24 process, and of course we'll be admiring them here, and enjoying carrying them, for many years to come :) So hats off to Barrett, he's done us proud  Looking out of the window here, Autumn seems to have arrived, and it looks wet and miserable. I'll be able to get my cool weather duds out, and wear my flat cap, so it's not all bad ;) I bought a replacement tweed cap, in York, the other week, and they sold me the wrong size, which is annoying. So, I'm going to have to make the journey back, to get it exchanged  That won't be today though. Have a good day Guardians, and I hope your week gets off to a positive start

Great pic of Brian ! 👍

Too bad about your Bunnet ! Autumn is here as well, it is 47° this morning.

Sweet horn on that one !

I had to go out early to pick up a small package from the sorting office. They used to be open until 5pm, and 8pm on 2 days. Now they are only open until 10am 🤔

Just having coffee and cake in town 😉

Thanks kindly Steve.
Yeah, they're closed altogether on one day too! 🤔

Great-looking Lamb my friend 🙂👍

Yikes, it's definitely colder here today, but still in the high 50's I reckon 👍

Thank you Steve 🙂👍

Late lunch in Leeds market 😉😋👍

That's my kind of fast food Jack.👍🏻

This is grand sleeping weather, now that Fall is here. 9° Celsius last night.

It was a great party mate!
It's a fun hobby! I wish I had more time to do it myself. There's a lot of really good videos on how to detail engines - wiring distributor caps, hoses, etc if you're into that sort of thing.

That pork butt looks amazing!
