Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Hello friends. Just got this TEW lamb back from @glennbad. Unfortunately this old bex gave him fits but as he always does, he made it perfect. The covers are redwood burl. Thank you Glenn.

Happy to report my mother in laws surgery went well. Hopefully we get the news soon that she is 100% cancer free. Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes.

On night shift still and got 8 straight days coming up. Got my “new” TEW in the pocket tonight.

That's a real beauty Paul! Glenn never disappoints. Wonderful news about you MIL.
I thought I'd treat myself to a Double Lambsfoot Day to round off the week
Wow what a pair!
Thank you Steve, it's a nice, sunny day, though temperatures are probably in the low 60's. I had 2 coffees in Charlie's, got some shopping from town, and called in at the bank. Plenty I can find to do at home  ;) Hope you have a good one buddy :)

It is definitely the time of low sun and long shadows here

I can't get over how perfectly vintage that ram's horn lamb looks.

Beautiful HHB David.

L'Ariete . . . Well Christened Jack. I've got Beni with me today.

Isn't it just Bob :) I can remember years back, mentioning the Lambsfoot, as an aside, in a forum knife discussion, and folks didn't know the pattern, but there was quite a bit of interest. More than anything, I think that was the kick in the pants to start this thread :) That is such a great example my friend :)

Thanks a lot Jeff, that's a fab photo of Beni :)

I have an invitation to go and drink some wine with Matt and his missus. I was planning to stay in, and drink some on my own, which means I don't have to go out in the cold, but I might put my shoes on :D ;)

Looks like you are fortified for a night out.
L'ram is such a fine example of a new lamb retaining classic lines.

Thanks Barrett, Ray does something similar nearly every week! I should have just offered him a tenner for his 'shillelagh'! :D Andy is always impeccably dressed with the clothing of recently deceased men of good taste, which he picks up from charity shops. Tool Man was shamelessly eyeing up a nice Barbour tweed jacket he was wearing yesterday, he even tried it on for size! 😖

Business as usual, then. 😁

I thought my new Lambsfoot should have an Italian name - L'Ariete :) I hope Cosimo will approve :) :thumbsup:View attachment 2676781

Seems like a fitting name, Jack. (Of course, I had to look it up, because my Italian is pretty much limited to words that would appear on an Italian restaurant menu.) 🤣

🤣 That or Bollocks Ray. 😆

For sure! 🤣

Might as well get out there and live life while you’re young! 😉 Did you ever end up catching one of the 20th anniversary showings of Shaun of the Dead?

Speaking of anniversaries, Julie and I started dating 25 years ago today, so that’s something I suppose. 😁

Switched out one Albers Lamb for another today, felt like I’ve been neglecting my Afzelia Burl lately. This is an old pic, but I’ll try to grab a new one later.

Ahoy Guardians!

The weather situation in South Florida has devolved from merely ruinous to perfectly dreadful. The Stockholm syndrome tells me to enjoy the brief drop in temperature the rain brings, yet the impending rise in humidity is fixed in my mind.

I suppose it's shameful to be griping about "bad weather" given the cataclysm my neighbors to the North are engaged in - which brings up an interesting, to me at least, point: I'm so far south, that to get to "The South" I'd have to drive north quite a while.

One day, I had this grand fantasy that involved me in the role of Founder and Leader of a Bluegrass-Latin fusion band named, get this: Too Far South (copyright pending...). The fatal error being that it's a fool's errand to try to find a decent banjo player this far from the Mason-Dixon line. Wasn't meant to be. 😕🪕

The thing is though, the areas that got hit the hardest, they have nice weather all the time. I've spent plenty of time in Asheville et al and for the most part, the weather is just splendid.

In Miami, despite what you've been told by people selling timeshares and spaces in luxury retirement villages, the weather here is seldom anything near splendid. So, while I've seen the pictures and lament the devastation - I'm still capable of feeling sorry for myself in my steamy dampness. Plus, when you're living in the bullseye - it's hard not to celebrate a miss, even if that might feel rotten at times. 🤷
