Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Had an exciting surprise waiting at the post office today. It was pure luck I ended up chatting with a guy willing to pass this beauty on.

I’ll try to grab a better photo tomorrow, bit busy at work today.

First, I am overwhelmed by your warm responses. Thank you.
Second, I'm happy for the response to the contest.

Now... Unclekurty was my official accounting firm, holding the correct answer, adding some official correctness to the contest.

Finally, the under over rule came into play. Barrett guessed 116, but Jeremy, guessed 123. This put him one number closer to the answer of...120.

Congrats to Jeremy, who entered for Chris@321bandaid.

Once I have a mailing address, I will contact Gerstner to send chest.

May all of our southern friends be

More meat pie please?😁

Fantastic GAW, Bob! Well done! I’m glad to know that my counting/estimating method proved to be fairly accurate. 😁 Well done to Jeremy for his slightly more accurate guess, and congrats to Chris on the win!

Great to see Palomino, Bob. I'm back home after the hurricane and the house had little damage. The power is still on so didn't lose any food, either. Thanks to all for your prayers and concern. We're fine. I had Roper and Berry on me for protection!

Glad you made it through safe and didn’t have much damage, Jeff.

Good morning Guardians. Perfect morning for a fire. Hope everyone is doing well and we hear from Dwight @Fodderwing soon. Have a great day and weekend! 😎👍

Fire weather is the best kind of weather! 🔥

Good morning Guardians !

I have a new addition to my flock. Kind of interesting, an I*XL bolstered Barlow with a C. Johnson tang stamp.

Southern lights earlier this year.

Kind of hard to tell the southern lights apart from the northern lights. Maybe this’ll help. 😁

Good morning everyone 😊
Oh man, I love catching up with Jack, I remember saying goodbye to him last time at the Train station and so felt such a dreaded feeling of sadness.
Yesterday we walked around York a fair bit - both of us a bit sore this morning 🤣
Here we are at Dinner last night, spot the Lambsfoot 😍View attachment 2682913
It's been five years since I last saw my pal Duncan, and so I have been looking forward to his visit immensely. His wife, Sue, was staying with her mom, up in the North West, so it was a Boys Only trip to York, and our 2 days there absolutely flew by :) Every street corner, and building, in York, is rich with history, so we spent a lot of time just walking around, but also fitted in 3 great pubs, a couple of chip butties, an interesting curry, and looked round a few antique shops, and the National Railway Museum - we even met the Director of the museum, having a pint with her dad, in @Peregrin 's favourite York pub  I didn't take too many pics, but Duncan took more :) Here's a few of mine, going up to lunchtime on Thursday ;)

Isn’t that funny!
I was just going to come in and say a massive thank you to you Jack and saw you post ^^

It was once again fantastic to meet up with you, I could spend months just chilling out with you my friend.
You amazing natural friendliness along with your vast knowledge makes you SUCH the host for going around these amazing places that are so so deep in history.
There are houses and buildings in England that are much older than civilised New Zealand by far , Even older than the times where Australia started their Gene pool from convicts 🤣 - but a few didn’t turn out too bad I guess 😂 Sorry I just had to take the chance to rib our Aussie friends- we give each other a hard time - but if it came to War we would give all to help our friends across the ditch.

Jack and Duncan, excellent pics from your visit together! Must have been a fantastic time! I do have one question: do you know if they sell Gurkha beer at that Nepalese place? 😉😁

After breakfast the next day, we walked along the city walls, past the Minster, and onto a couple of antique shops, but found nothing worth buying.

We caught a wee road-train to the National Railway Museum, which is always impressive.

We had Taylor Beer and chip butties in The Maltings pub 😋👍

More great pics, Jack!

Thanks Barrett.
I will have to be more original for the next one.

Thats all wrong you should be having a nice cup of tea with that.

Nick Cave is my favourite I aint going to marry him though,I expect its a relief for us both?

But very wierdly I dreamt I met Kylie last night (no idea why I dont watch or listen to her, totaly random) anyway all I remember of it was she was nice and I liked her. 😍
Nick is good.
Probably associate kylie with, where the wild roses grow from the album Murder ballards.
I like Henry Lee the duet with PJ Harvey from the same album.

I'm honored, Jack! I hope it was a good stop on your and Duncan's adventure!

Nice,
I'm just amazed that was your first, been a staple since childhood. Then again I've never had a peanut & jelly sandwich 😆😆

I been fortunate to have riden this twice. It's quite an experience. 🤠

Thanks mate, were your ears burning?! :D ;) I've never eaten at a Nepalese restaurant before, and the Gurkha beer seemed the obvious choice, particularly for a pair of knife afficinados ;) :D

It was a lot of fun mate :)

Bit dumb about the screws, I dare say they'll make an added extra available to purchase  Keep us posted Jer
I ended up staying with the originals. Their bugle heads center them in the oversize frame holes, whereas regular bolts would have room to shift.
SS don't have thumb screw for the torque, and they have separate screws for the Scouts LT and XT, so neither of those is going to work. My LT has flat shouldered thumb bolts, which would be too sloppy, and there's actually almost no flat area around the holes of the torque.

Very interesting Jer  I have to say, one of my favourites from them is their version of The Sparrow, precisely because it's so darn simple

I really like the album, dark and uplifting at the same time, I'm so confused 😂😂
Kylie definitely bigger in the UK, you can keep her🙂
LOL! :D There's a whole generation of kids called Kylie here!:rolleyes::)🤣👍

It seemed a fair price at the time, but seeing what some have gone for recently you wouldn’t believe me if I told you!

😂 well played on the photo!

I like the looks of that one, but I feel more secure with the flip clips than the whipping. I know it works but I don't believe it works.
My Scout LT is still my favorite.
I bought a few cheap before I ponied up for the LT. Hardly saved me any money at all.

Stag and horn for a special day, Lorna 21 today.

It's a double special day.

Well last Sunday morning I got a phone call from my step Mum, that she had to get an ambulance Saturday night for my Dad. Turns out he had viral pneumonia & spent 3 days in the ICU & the rest of the week in hospital came home yesterday, still not good but he is home.
The reason it is double special is that Lorna turn 21 today & Poppy Griff turns 80 today!

Mitch, glad to hear your dad is finally back home. May he continue to recover.
