Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It’s out 8th wedding anniversary on Tuesday but han decided to do something today. For fun we stick to the anniversary gifts by year either modern or traditional. This year is salt or linen, I bought her sheets for our new bed (romantic I know) and she decided on a family picnic to a local salt lake - pink lake.

Bit sunny for a decent pic but I did have good company other than family.

Took some salt home, going to dry it out for a few days. Should last a while!

Jack, interesting day out. After it's dried, do you have to purify it in some way? ( bacteria, etc)

Not sure haven’t done it before. Han was reading up on it before, I believe I have a reference in a book to processing salt somewhere. It’s more of a test run really.

Having said that, it’s a pretty hostile environment. I’m not sure if much other than the pink algae that gives it the colour can live in it.

Stellar pic Steve

Great-looking Lamb Pete :)
I've been lurking but haven't posted much in the Guardians thread (or on BF at all!) recently (too busy!), but I've had the GL-24 in my pocket every day.

I hope all of the Guardians are prospering, including our fearless leader Jack Black Jack Black and our mascot Toolman.

Has anyone heard from Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 or @JohnDF recently? I hope they're both doing well.
Thanks Tyson, I hope things ease off for you a little, and that you're having a lovely weekend :) By chance, I dropped Paul a brief DM yesterday
Hi Tyson, good to hear from you.
I know Paul@Jakeywax31 is doing well. He has been putting in alot of extra time at work lately.
Thanks for the news Bob, please give him our best :)
Great pics of Violet Mitch :)
Sounds like a good time to relax Jack. Great image pal.
Thanks pal, I enjoyed the wine :)
Stunning photo Dwight  :)
My lambsfoot all week has been Man Jack, a stag senator. He accompanied me 4 years ago on a visit to a college campus about 1.5 miles from my house.
The college is on what was once the estate of a rich lumberman (I think) who was also quite a philanthropist. He and his wife established the first 2 hospitals in the city. Here's a photo of the former manor house which is now an administrative building for the college.

Notice the columns in the center of the manor house; that's the main entrance, with white stone lions lying on either side of the doors. Here's a shot of Man Jack interacting with one of the lions.

The campus has several nice woodlots scattered among the buildings, and there are several bridges crossing a creek that meanders through the grounds. Here's Man Jack contemplating the creek from a path that runs beside the creek for a while.

Man Jack is a senator, according to A. Wright & Son. But he seems to have higher aspirations.

That's one heck of a house! Thanks for the pics Gary :)
We’re still piecing together their actual Halloween costumes, so tonight was more of a throw-something-together-using-stuff-from-their-dress-up-box kind of situation. 😁

Awwww :D Hope you all had a great time Barrett :) Nice to see Tool Man could make it! 🤣 👍

Fantastic pics Jack, it looks like a great day out :) I hope you have a very happy anniversary my friend :)

Cool pic Duncan, that looks like a nice spot :) It must be strange for Sue, re-visiting places she was familiar with many years ago, and now lives so far from :) Thank you for the kind words my friend :)
Thank you Jack!
The other day we went in a Canal cruise, it was lightly raining but cleared up quickly.
Sue and her brothers used to spend the weekend on the Canals with their Dad.
They showed me the spot where their Dad fitted up an absolute bare hull on a certain spot of the Canal.

It was great to place that vision in my head of her Dad ( who was a remarkable Builder and Stone Mason) building the oat right there.

Hope your Knee is better Jack, hope everyone is having a great day / night.

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend :) It's absolutely chucking it down here, but since I'm going to be working, I don't care too much :D It's a bit of a rude return for my friend Matt, who returns today after 2 weeks sailing on a luxury yacht off Turkey (and taunting us all with amazing photos)! Carrying my Pals Lamb today, thanks guys :) Enjoy your Sunday Guardians

Hope you have a relaxing Sunday :)

Trust the administration to take the best house.

We could use some of your rain. We're back in a drought here. Nice picture of your Pal Lamb 👍

Howdy folks. Been busy. Got the stag Charlie lamb for work tonight. Hope everyone is doing well.

Cute pics Bob :)
It is Jack. They slow down and sleep for several days, then wake up, eat and go back to sleep( where heart rate and metabolism slow down). It's called being in a torpor state
I feel a bit like that today! :D ;)
No rest for the weary! ;)

Thanks Steve :) We could certainly spare you some  I hope it arrives soon

Good morning Guardians - or afternoon which ever is the case. Busy day yesterday doing yard projects. Moving shrubs and flowers and expanding our landscaping beds. My back, neck, arms and legs feel it today😧. Gave my HHB a workout. Hope you all are having a great weekend.
