Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Yesterday Jack Purcell aka Hatchet_Jack Hatchet_Jack made my day! A package from the Land down Under arrived at my house. Jack gifted me an absolutely beautiful Max Sao lamb foot. He told me it was his way of saying thank you for welcoming him to the Forum and the Guardians. It is people like Jack who make the Forum a special place! From the bottom of my heart thanks again Jack!

I had a few Lambsfoot-less days this week — the horror! 😲 — as I wanted to give a couple non-Lambsfoot straight-edge knives some pocket time, but I’ve got my 2024 Albers Guardians knife back in my pocket this morning. We’re going over to the neighbors’ for a Halloween party later tonight, so last night I made a batch of pimento cheese to take with us. Of course I had to do a little taste test it to make sure it was ok. 😁

Three great pics of the GL-24 fellas !

Here are a shot beside a Canal where Sue and I drive out to get a Pint and Pub Butty Sandwich 🥪

Nice shot mate !

Oh no! 😲 Hate to hear that, Jack. Hopefully there’s no lasting damage.

Great pic, Dwight! 😁

It’s looking fantastic there, Jeff.:thumbsup:

It’s good to see you here, Greg! 🙂

You probably picked something up at the hospital. 🙄😁

It’s not a dish you see up this way too often, GT, and while my luck with southern dishes in MN has been pretty hit or miss, this one was pretty good.

Looks tasty, Jack.

Nice pic, Jeremy. Your Waynorth Lamb is looking great. I think you might need a new bottle of Buffalo Trace soon. 😉😁

Spooky looking pic, Dwight! 🎃

That’s awesome! Very kind gesture by Jack, and a very unique Lambsfoot.

Thanks Barrett, it’s a great knife to admire AND use. The Buffalo Trace low level alarm has been cleared with a new bottle.

I've been lurking but haven't posted much in the Guardians thread (or on BF at all!) recently (too busy!), but I've had the GL-24 in my pocket every day.

I hope all of the Guardians are prospering, including our fearless leader Jack Black Jack Black and our mascot Toolman.

Has anyone heard from Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 or JohnDF JohnDF recently? I hope they're both doing well.

Must be Halloween ...
I had a hankering for a glass of wine 😋 This Lebanese wine is one of my favourites
Sounds like a good time to relax Jack. Great image pal.
Incredible stag and one of my favorite photo spots of yours.

Incredible stag and one of my favorite photo spots of yours.

Thanks buddy !

Cool pic !

My lambsfoot all week has been Man Jack, a stag senator. He accompanied me 4 years ago on a visit to a college campus about 1.5 miles from my house.
The college is on what was once the estate of a rich lumberman (I think) who was also quite a philanthropist. He and his wife established the first 2 hospitals in the city. Here's a photo of the former manor house which is now an administrative building for the college.

Notice the columns in the center of the manor house; that's the main entrance, with white stone lions lying on either side of the doors. Here's a shot of Man Jack interacting with one of the lions.

The campus has several nice woodlots scattered among the buildings, and there are several bridges crossing a creek that meanders through the grounds. Here's Man Jack contemplating the creek from a path that runs beside the creek for a while.

Man Jack is a senator, according to A. Wright & Son. But he seems to have higher aspirations.

The adventures and ambitions of Man Jack 👍 🤠

It’s out 8th wedding anniversary on Tuesday but han decided to do something today. For fun we stick to the anniversary gifts by year either modern or traditional. This year is salt or linen, I bought her sheets for our new bed (romantic I know) and she decided on a family picnic to a local salt lake - pink lake.

Bit sunny for a decent pic but I did have good company other than family.

Took some salt home, going to dry it out for a few days. Should last a while!
