SweetThat picture of Tool Man next to the Rover reminds me what my older brother used to say, "Never trust a man who wears a belt and suspenders!"
Berry is still riding fine.

Well done Jack, you're a good 'unYesterday Jack Purcell akaHatchet_Jack made my day! A package from the Land down Under arrived at my house. Jack gifted me an absolutely beautiful Max Sao lamb foot. He told me it was his way of saying thank you for welcoming him to the Forum and the Guardians. It is people like Jack who make the Forum a special place! From the bottom of my heart thanks again Jack!

Sorry Steve, I think I may have only mentioned it in passing. York Railway Station has an attractive old footbridge, crossing over the tracks. Unfortunately, while descending it, and going round a corner, with Duncan behind me, my left foot slipped off the edge of one of the steps. The rucsac I was carrying further threw me off balance, and I went flying. Most of the impact was on the corner of one of the other steps, which I hit with my right knee just below my patella. While I suffered other minor injuries, and damaged the screen of my phone, my right knee swelled up immediately. I broke my right tibia 22 years ago, and it has a steel rod inside the tibia, which runs all the way to the tip of my patella. I am worried that the impact may have moved, or dislodged the steel rodThanks buddy

Bob, that's an absolutely glorious pair of lambs! I'm sitting here after work with Berry in pocket.

Some like it hot. Some like it sweet. All (whoβve tried one, at least) like a lambsfoot!

Iβll spare yaβll the details, but, a couple of years ago, a serious (non-lambsfoot) knife-related injury put me off of Very Sharp Things for a spell. Iβm long past that, but itβs taken a might longer to feel the itch to be totinβ a cutting tool in my pocket. Of course, it was a lambsfoot I reached for! The pictures above are βmy knifeβ, an A. Wright Buffalo-clad model that was my introduction to the pattern and my most frequent carry. I owe it a spa day, but after some power stropping on the Tormek leather wheel itβs back to acceptable slicing shape.
I see a lot of new names and lambsfoot knives since I last frequented The Porch. Iβm looking forward to getting to know my new fellow guardians!
I'm a bit under the weather today, as I seem to have picked up a cold. It might be Covid too, as there's plenty going around here![]()
I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant that had shrimp and grits on the menu, and I don't think I have enough time left on "this mortal coil" to work up the courage to order it, even if I find an establishment that offers it!![]()

I hope we see some costume pics later Barrett.I had a few Lambsfoot-less days this week β the horror!β as I wanted to give a couple non-Lambsfoot straight-edge knives some pocket time, but Iβve got my 2024 Albers Guardians knife back in my pocket this morning. Weβre going over to the neighborsβ for a Halloween party later tonight, so last night I made a batch of pimento cheese to take with us. Of course I had to do a little taste test it to make sure it was ok.

I wanted to christen a piece of table cutleryJohnnythefox sent me, and while I was cooking, I had a hankering for a glass of wine
This Lebanese wine is one of my favourites, but it went from under Β£10 a bottle, in the 1980's, to unobtainable, so I don't get to drink it too often these days. I'd been saving my last bottle for a special occasion, but they keep passing by, so what the hey!

Cool pic Duncan, that looks like a nice spotThank you for the comments on the photos- Steve my friend- apologies for using the forest settings- I am in a strange one lol and take the opportunity when I can. I need to find my old bits of wood and perfect light like I used to have- hard to find in my new dwelling.
Thinking of you Jack and a Speedy recovery my friend.
Tomorrow may be a quiet day to get a few treasures out to go over them
