David that is very interesting and thank you for sharing! I am typically looking for signs of ancient man when I am out in the field. πŸ™ŒπŸ€
Thanks Pete, you should come down to Leeds market, and I'll introduce you to Stone Age man! 🀣

Cool snake buddy! 😁 Hope you had a great day :)
I’m enjoying some afternoon coffee to help adjust to the time change. The Albers stag lamb is keeping me company.

Great pic Pat, that's some gorgeous stag
I spent the week in Bremerton, Washington for work, getting back home last night. I was fortune enough to be able to get onboard my first submarine, which was in drydock and early in the process of being dismantled. The visit brought back a lot of memories from my time onboard the boat. I was able to get some sweet swag while I was there, including these decommissioning coins, patches, and a hat (not shown). But by far the best thing I was given when I was there was this piece of anchor chain from the ship's anchor.

Here's a cool picture of her back in her glory days (I was actually onboard when this one was taken).

Another highlight from my trip was getting to have dinner and good conversation with Joefairbanks Joefairbanks . Ken is as good as they come, and I was very grateful he was willing to give up some time to come have dinner with me.

Bremerton also has a very well put together and pretty comprehensive 9/11 memorial that I was able to visit. Here is a piece of the steel taken from the rubble of the twin towers.

Throughout the trip, this fantastic Cosimo lamb was with me.

sbh06 sbh06 Thanks for the invite and visit, Jeremy! It was a great time- great conversation, good food and some sweet Lambs! I'm happy that we finally got to meet in person, and I'm happy that you enjoyed your trip!
That anchor chain link is a real treasure! 😍

My new Cosimo lucky #7 landed today. I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship. πŸ™‚ I put it right into the slip that's been waiting for it and into my pocket. Have a good day Guardians!

Congratulations Pat, that's an absolute treasure :)

I hope everyone's week got off to a good start :) I met up with Eve, at a nearby coffee shop, and we had a couple of coffees. before driving to a favourite cafe on the edge of Leeds. No pies were available unfortunately, and there'd been a run on the stew, so be both had the all-day breakfast πŸ˜‹ I wanted to get Eve something else for her recent birthday, so we went back into the city, where I took a few pics of the market from the top-storey of the car-park, and then we went shopping. We stopped off halfway round for a posh hot chocolate, and later on for a glass of pop, and some nice apple cake. It's turned cold here today, but it was dry, and we had a nice day :) My new wallet got plenty of exercise! :D
