That must have brought back some memories Jeremy, what a cool souvenirI spent the week in Bremerton, Washington for work, getting back home last night. I was fortune enough to be able to get onboard my first submarine, which was in drydock and early in the process of being dismantled. The visit brought back a lot of memories from my time onboard the boat. I was able to get some sweet swag while I was there, including these decommissioning coins, patches, and a hat (not shown). But by far the best thing I was given when I was there was this piece of anchor chain from the ship's anchor.

Here's a cool picture of her back in her glory days (I was actually onboard when this one was taken).

Another highlight from my trip was getting to have dinner and good conversation withJoefairbanks . Ken is as good as they come, and I was very grateful he was willing to give up some time to come have dinner with me.
Bremerton also has a very well put together and pretty comprehensive 9/11 memorial that I was able to visit. Here is a piece of the steel taken from the rubble of the twin towers.

Throughout the trip, this fantastic Cosimo lamb was with me.
