We currently have an advent calendar event at our house every evening. The girls each have a non-chocolate one (Scout’s is Spider-Man Lego, and Eleanor’s is Disney Pixar Funko Pop), then Julie got us all a chocolate advent calendar. No trouble getting ‘em open here, but I will say the quality of the chocolate leaves something to be desired. 😁

Nice to hear they still make non-chocolate ones Barrett, particularly as the chocolate doesn't taste much better than the cardboard :rolleyes: I got Eve's boyfriend a chilli sauce one last year :D I have to say that they're not really the same thing without young children around, I remember last year I sometimes forgot to open a window for a couple of days :D :thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, how's everyone doing? I hope you have something interesting planned for the weekend :) I'm still struggling with my internet speeds here, and it took me about 10 minutes to load this page :rolleyes: The last time I had the issue, I nearly changed providers, but it turned out that some guys digging the street up had damaged a cable 😖 I was supposed to be meeting Matt today, but we said we'd play it by ear, with the weather. It's raining now, but much heavier rain, and wind, is supposed to arrive about lunchtime. I might cry off, as I have lots to do in the house anyway. Just waiting to see if Matt pulls out first! :D ;) Carrying L'Ariete again today :) Have a good one Guardians :thumbsup:

I didn't get one this year. It doesn't really bother me that the Vermont Christmas Store is in China, but I was thinking about the Lindt chocolate one at Costco, and a tea advent calendar from the river, so I didn't get around to it, and here we are half-way through advent.

I would have eaten all the chocolate in a day or two. The tea one is a nice meditative idea, but pretty expensive, and would it all be proper tea? I never checked, but maybe some of it was perfumed and some of it was tisanes. [No Spellcheck, not saltines. Tissanes or tisannes maybe.]

I have the day off today, and am hoping to get my lights up, but I'll have to see if I can help move crap at church, too.
I'll have to come back with a pic. There's a rehearsal starting in twenty eight minutes.

There was a short-lived girl group called Fanny, whose hit was called I've Had It.
What brings that to mind, I wonder?

It’s pretty good stuff, Jack. The wife and I decided several years back to make Thai curry and after a few attempts and tinkering with ingredients, we succeeded.
