Have you tried flooding the joint with oil, working the blade a bit, and then blowing out with compressed air?
(Anyone else not seeing this pic? I can see it in MY post, but not in the original post)

Yes, I flushed it with balistol, blew it out with compressed air and then lubed the pivot area with KPL.
Sorry for the picture issues, I used Imgur to host the link but it doesn’t seem to be displaying correctly.

Steve cool pics
Buddy had those boots in blue for awhile I eventually gave, he figured out how to throw 1 off.
People forget about dogs paws. If it's a 100+ I wouldn't be walking on the road or sidewalk barefoot. We always walked early to avoid the heat.

Yeah I know that 1 too.We were taught a pretty good rubric to decide if it's too hot for a dog walk. If it's too hot to hold the back of your hand against the ground for more than 20 seconds, it's too hot for dog paws.
It never really gets cold enough around here for me to worry about the opposite. Very occasionally it'll get down to 30° F or so, which doesn't seem to phase my dogs at all, but it's usually in the 50s, minimum, before we walk them. So I don't know a good rubric for deciding if it's too cold for a dog walk.
