Glad you’re staying warm out there, Steve — except, I’m guessing, your hands when you took that knife pic.![]()
Hope all the rest of y’all are staying warm, too (or cool, in the case of our antipodean Guardians). It’s been plenty cold here this weekend, and I spent more time than I would’ve liked outside trying to get my wife’s car working right. Sunday morning (-5°F or so out), it wouldn’t start, so I started up my truck, hooked up the jumper cables and got it going. Well apparently it didn’t like that (I guess newer vehicles with their fancy computers aren’t fond of jumpstarts), because by the time she got in after letting it run for a couple minutes, there were all sorts of warning lights and error messages, the radio/display wasn’t working, and the throttle was completely unresponsive when you pushed the gas pedal.
Now I don’t mind doing minor fixes/maintenance work on our vehicles, but I’m definitely no mechanic, so what turned out to be a fairly simple fix in the end (a new battery and a couple fuses) took me longer than I care to admit with my trial and error approach and Google/YouTube diagnostics.![]()
Anyways, I’m glad it’s back up and running now. Here’s some Lambsfoot content.

Good morning Guardians, I hope your week got off to a flying start. I have some work due to land on my desk in an hour or so, and plenty to do before then. I'm not sure I'll get out of the house today, but I'm sure there'll be the odd cutting chore for L'ArieteHave a good day everyone

I can't compete with -20, but we're at +3F with a projected high of 4F, which is unusually cold for here. There's a few inches of snow to move before work and more coming down.
I might experiment with the bus today, but probably not.
Great pic though BobToday the ocean temp is a balmy 38° by me, the air 8°.
