America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.
Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!
I remember feeling like that reading Joyce!![]()

I started reading Portrait of the Artist... at 19 (and I'd read just about anything at that age), and could stomach the proseI think I still have the unread copy!

We're getting a little bit of snow this morning, it won't amount to much but it makes for a pretty start to Friday. I hope you all have a good weekend, I'm going to try to make a chip butty Sunday for the football games, we'll see.

Nice picture, Pat! Snow in Tennessee!!
Up here in the "Great White North" we haven't seen any snow this winter!!
In fact it's sunny and clear yet again today, and a few degrees above freezing!!
Is climate change real??![]()
Working from home means it’s a double lamb day!View attachment 2769441
Yes, we barely had any snow last winter either and a pretty dry summer. The winter before that we had record snow

At Lunch today at a nice Garden Bar Pub on the outskirts of town, had this gorgeous piece in my pocket, I kinda have a grin when I pull this knife to carry as I think of Barrett and him getting this over the line.
I am trying to think of a nick name for this one, either way I love it, Thanks again Barrett, and hats off to Eric.
Under shade so the true colours of the Polish Elevator Roller Micarta doesn't come out, it's a very nice carry.

I love the spalted wood on that one, Steve.
Had to zoom in to check out all these knifes. Sweet photo! I dig it.
Ken
I read (and enjoyed, from what I remember) some of the short stories from Dubliners when I was in college, but every time I’ve tried to read Ulysses (and I have tried a few times), I don’t think I’ve made it past page 5 or so.
Nice pic of your Cosimo lamb, Pat!
We’ve had plenty of cold weather here in MN (especially this past weekend!), but very little snow.
Quite a duo there!
Great pics of Cassie there, Steve!
Wow! That’s a beauty, Charlie, and well deserved!
Nicely done, Bob!
Happy early birthday, Mitch (although I guess by this point it’s only a few hours away on your time)!

Very nice, Duncan. I’m glad you like the knife so much! I can only take a little credit; Eric did all the hard work!![]()
Keep showing that beauty David; one day someone will take the hint and make a modern version.
Nice Ken, and interesting bolster.Hello all!
Need to be more mindful of taking my lamb out so I have something to share. I noticed some of you have nicknames for yr knives and I wonder how those came about. Been thinking what to name mine o if it has to be named by someone else.
Have a great weekend!
Ken
Duncan, it is a gem, and I hope you enjoyed your lunch.Love that one David ^

Thanks. I got lucky with my first one. After checking out all the different styles on here and over the last few ones. Definitely got a “looker” of a lamb.
Who's the maker of that one ?
Cool Lamb !
Nice Ken, and interesting bolster.![]()
That's some nice-looking stag Bob, and a very tasty-sounding meal
Cool pic Daniel![]()
Good afternoon Guardians, I got up to no heating, or hot water, as there was a problem with my boiler, which always happens when it has been serviced recently. A pipe had uncoupled, and there was no pressure, but half-asleep at 6am, I managed to knock a casserole dish off the side, and onto my foot, before it smashed on the kitchen floor. Not a great start to the day, and we are in the middle of a storm here, with 58 mph winds, howling past Grumble Towers. I had to go into town for work, but was finished by early afternoon. I had some more waiting for me at home though, and am going to be busy for the next few days. I hope everyone is having a good day
I don't know what I was thinking of yesterday, this is by Howarth, not Baxter!
