Duncan, it is a gem, and I hope you enjoyed your lunch.
It's interesting how a classic tool can put a smile on our face. At times, my wife will give me a strange look, as I ponder the provenance of a knife in hand.
Thank you Jack
Thank you Barrett.
Ken.
That's easy I name the knives that were gifted to me. Reminds me of the person every time I carry it.
Nice,
As far as I know they are, still available from the dealer here.
Not a chance of taking it easy yesterday, I'm afraid, buddy, it was a large event I had been organising for months. Now I have to write the press releaseThanks buddy
Pic of a great Lambsfoot

Can't wait to see the result JackI’ve been a bit absent last few days, a little busy. A few dm’s and lots of posts to catch up on.
Have my Blyde lamb today, will post it off next week to an Aussie maker who will attempt to recreate it. Excited to see what he turns out.

What beautiful jigging!
Sounds like a great place for lunch mate, I hope you enjoyed itLove that one David ^
At Lunch today at a nice Garden Bar Pub on the outskirts of town, had this gorgeous piece in my pocket, I kinda have a grin when I pull this knife to carry as I think of Barrett and him getting this over the line.
I am trying to think of a nick name for this one, either way I love it, Thanks again Barrett, and hats off to Eric.
Under shade so the true colours of the Polish Elevator Roller Micarta doesn't come out, it's a very nice carry.

LOL!I read (and enjoyed, from what I remember) some of the short stories from Dubliners when I was in college, but every time I’ve tried to read Ulysses (and I have tried a few times), I don’t think I’ve made it past page 5 or so.![]()
Nice work BarrettHappy early birthday, Mitch (although I guess by this point it’s only a few hours away on your time)!

Hi Ken, nice Lamb thereHello all!
Need to be more mindful of taking my lamb out so I have something to share.
We have nothing better to do Ken!I noticed some of you have nicknames for yr knives and I wonder how those came about. Been thinking what to name mine o if it has to be named by someone else.
Have a great weekend!
Ken
I think we've all seen that look!Duncan, it is a gem, and I hope you enjoyed your lunch.
It's interesting how a classic tool can put a smile on our face. At times, my wife will give me a strange look, as I ponder the provenance of a knife in hand.
My dad belonged to the British one for a while, not sure if he ever read any of the books, but he liked them as wallpaper!![]()
I belonged to the Folio Society briefly. They would send you a book every month unless you asked them not to, and you had to buy two books before you could quit. Somewhere I must have the book that drew me in and the other book that got me out.
Thanks SteveHave a great day buddy !
They have done a great job of their Lambs, from what I've seenThis one is a Daniels Family Farm, Napanoch Knife Company SFO. The seller said it didn’t sit right having a club knife, Slipjoint Exchange, and not being a part of a club. Too early in my Slipjoint journey to care how the knife came about. And I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. Plus, I wanted to be part of this Guardians club.
Great pic Steve
Nice to see that Bob, hope you're having a good 'un my friendGood weekend all.

Beautiful LF knife you have there!Good Saturday. A bit overcast here in Santa Cruz. Hoping for some rain. Took out N. 9 for a picture.

If you've told that story before Jeff, I've forgotten it!I don't know for sure, but I may have been the first to start naming my lambs. After receiving my first lambsfoot, the 2018 Guardians' ebony, I was completely taken with the pattern and the camaraderie of the Guardians. I noticed the etching on the blade, "REAL LAMB FOOT" and said to myself, "This is a Real A$$ Lamb Foot knife," and taking the first letters it became R A L F. Been calling him "RALF" ever since.
![]()
Once I started naming them, I couldn't stop, as all of them are special to me. So . . .
My blue rope jigged bone Albers became "Roper."
![]()
My cranberry relish jigged bone Albers became "Berry."
![]()
My stag Damascus lamb was a gift from Modoc ED, who was a navy man. He included some cowry shells from Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, so became "Diego."
![]()
My F. Benini custom stag lambsfoot became "Beni."
![]()
LOL!That made me laugh, because I've only read the the first five pages of Ulysses, too. And yet, every time I've seen someone drop a quote from it in a book or article, I recognize it. Because I think 99.9% of readers never make it past page five.
Lambsfoot content:

Surprisingly, mine didn't kill my love of Greek literature!Love the content and lamb Tyson.
My head has still not recovered from my Greek and Roman lit class!!
Thanks buddy, I spent a lot of time herding cats! The cats won!Hope you have a good day pal![]()
A handsome LambHowdy Guardians, cloudy and cool. Hope y'all have a good day. Ethan is the pathfinder.

I ventured out with my fettled-up 4” AWright this afternoon to catch the sunset and a little bit of frostbite.
Sheffield just over the horizon (last pic)
This may well have been the last ever 4 inch Arthur Wright Lambsfoot for sale! I’ve not seen a single one since? Does anyone know if they’re discontinued?

Good to see you here Bill, I hope you enjoy your golfBeautiful LF knife you have there!
Good morning Guardians. Still very chilly here in NC but a warming trend is on the way. I'll be attempting golf next Tues as the temps will be 60 deg F. Haven't played for almost 3 months - sure to be rusty but one thing that isn't rusty is my blue rope Albers.

Great photos Thomas, I bet it was nippy up thereThey were never as common as the smaller ones, and their production will depend on what is ordered. I have several, but I think my humble Rosewood model is still my favourite

Thanks Steve.![]()
Probably due to the EDC laws here, but I doubt they are completely out of production. The blade dies the Sheffield firms are more than a hundred years old, so they won't just have tossed them outThank you
No doubt a few emails could land me one then, but re-importing one seems daft, it’s just a little curious that shops that once advertised them here no longer do
. I wonder if those that are in the US are of limited stock?
