A good example, because half of Yorkshire pronounces it differently to the rest of the country!I noticed that often happens with place names over there. Even seemingly simple names, like Derby, can quickly out you as a foreigner (not that I ever had a chance at convincing anyone otherwise).![]()
With me, it was The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Tiger Who Came For Tea!I’ve definitely read that one a few times.
Yes, the vast majority of Sheffield factory owners have been a rotten a lot. Leeds has some beautiful architecture, because textile merchants gave back to the city. The cutlery magnates in Sheffield were a mean bunchI remember you telling that story about Ted Osborne’s retirement gift before.![]()
My maternal grandparents were Methodists, but they must not have been too strict, because they had a well-stocked wet bar in their house, and when they’d come visit, I remember them always traveling with a leather bag that contained a couple bottles of liquor and mixers.![]()
Congratulations buddy, that must have brightened your dayI had a pretty good mail day today.I hope a lot of these beauties find their way into Guardians’ hands!

Sweet IXL David
I'd forgotten about that one Paul, glad to hear it gets some use my friend!Just read through the lamb flock thread. Amazing stuff. So that whole exercise had me thinking which one I use most. I really thought about it and it’s this one. It sits on my little table next to my chair in the living room. A New production two bladed TEW that Jack sent me some time ago. You’d be surprised how many times I don’t have a knife in my pocket at home. This knife has become the whole families emergency knife. This thing did wonders for Christmas.

Two impressive pics gents
Enjoy your coffee Mitch!
I was reading, they recently identified some of Sandy Levine and a boot of his.Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well, and making it through the week OK. I also find myself forgetting what day it is recently! So far, I have an easy day, but I do need to go into town, and tonight I'm going over to Bradford, which is a bit of a hike for me. I'm enjoying carrying my '17 again. It hogged my pocket for a long time, but I've not carried it much lately. Have a great day Guardians

A good example, because half of Yorkshire pronounces it differently to the rest of the country!Up the road from me, there's a stately home called Harewood House. The resident toff insists it is pronounced 'Har'wood', but he's almost entirely alone in that pretension!
