Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Beautiful feathered horn on your '17 Jack. Have a good romp over at Bradford. My wife and I are romping all over SW Florida today for doctor visits in several different places. At least we'll probably eat lunch at some place different. Gonna carry Berry today.

I hope you have a positive romp Jeff. Nice pose, showing Barry at his best.👍🏻

I was reading, they recently identified some of Sandy Levine and a boot of his.
Enjoy your travels with the '17 Jack.
The mountain keeps coughing up old climbers. Some friends of mine found an old American climber, Art Gilkey, on K2 some years back. Shipped him back home to his family
Thanks Jack
You have a good day, remember to rug up.
Thanks pal, it's a little milder here today - still cold, but not as cold as it's been :) Hope you had a good un yourself
😀 well if I have to go the shops no point being wasteful.
A man after my own heart! :D
Toffee Wings
Your '17 is a beauty, have a great day buddy !
Thanks a lot Steve :)
Enjoy you day everyone.
A special lamb to me.

You're welcome, I'm glad you were the one to get it 👍

The article said the remains were take to a government center.

Well, I thank you for the slip Jack. The lamb arrived not too long ago, from part of a past members collection.

It's a fine trio, my friend. Truly, hard to get better than a little something from Charlie, a bit of something from Jack, and a decent example of what A. Wright could put out at one point in time. I'm glad ol' Linus still has a good home.

On the topic of skinning, I tried using a Lambsfoot a couple of times. Once earlier in the day on some grouse; skinning might not be the accurate a term in that case, more like a few small cuts and then a peel. I then tried it on my buddy's elk later in the day and I quickly switched to something different. As much as it shines in just about every other cutting role, a skinner it is not. I still enjoy those kinds of practical exercises though. They are the best ways to learn about your equipment.

And a pic for good measure: This one is nameless but still is pretty stout and feels good in the hand.

Oh man, What an Old Beauty Dylan 😍
Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well, and making it through the week OK. I also find myself forgetting what day it is recently! So far, I have an easy day, but I do need to go into town, and tonight I'm going over to Bradford, which is a bit of a hike for me. I'm enjoying carrying my '17 again. It hogged my pocket for a long time, but I've not carried it much lately. Have a great day Guardians

I forget all the details I heard Bob, both from my friends, and in the British climbing press, but Art was found by a climber I used to know, who I've momentarily forgotten the surname of, even though he is quite famous! 😖 It's common to leave fallen climbers on the mountain, but in this case, they were asked to return the body, and Greg shipped him back to the US in his climbing barrel. If I recall correctly, they never heard anything more, which they found somewhat annoying. It sounds like there might not have been any family ☹️

I am glad you have that one Bob 🫡👍

Morning Guardians! Another nice January day weather wise. Enjoying all the nice Lambs 🐑 this morning. Small IXL

Thanks Jack.

I have heard about leaving the fallen there. A form of respect and honor.
Yes, people can be very unappreciative. Two simple words, thank you, can go along way.
