Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Beers and Margaritas sound great right now.

That’s a cool blade stamp. Love older stamps and one of my favorites being the older Wostenholm stamp. Not sure why I like it so much but I do.

Thanks Paul, sounded great to me, and a bit unexpected - margaritas in an English pub - not the best I've had, but they were cheap! :D

Thanks mate, that's a nice one

We can’t discuss buying, but options that are out there include

- Wrights
- Taylor’s eye witness
- Joseph Rodgers
- George Wostenholm

You’ll also see limited releases such as Albers, Daniels and Waynorth pop up time to time.
There's been a fair bit of sales talk here lately, so I'd be grateful if we could curtail that please. It's easy enough to send a DM
Thank you for the reminder David
Sounds like a good evening buddy 👍

Thank you Jack 👍 🤠
It was nice, thank you David :)

Burgon & Ball, were probably best known, internationally, for their sheep shears
The new and the old.

The bolster, but thinking about it now, that old Wright's of yours has a similar bolster doesn't it? Basically, under Jack Howarth, Howarth and Wright's were the same firm, at that time

If your thinking of that old Stag candle end it's not a fluted bolster. We'll just go with Howarth 😉

Afternoon Guardians! A little cooler today but the sun is out so it's not to bad. Hope y'all are having a good day. Blue Lamb 🐑 is TCB. Stay Frosty 👍🤠

Have a good night at work !

Sorry they had to cancel the event again, the idea of a dog-sled race through the centre of town is pretty darn cool

It’s a lot of fun. Most of the race takes place on the lake, but Water Street, which runs through downtown Excelsior, MN straight down to the lake, serves as the start and finish line.

🤣🤣

I reckon they were at least made at that factory Steve, the lower one may, technically be a Howarth. Before John Maleham bought the business, Jack Howarth ran both firms out of there:thumbsup:

I was trying to remember why that name rang a bell. Isn’t that the name on the little gate/door at the top of the stairs in the Wright’s factory? I thought that I had taken a picture of that when we visited, but I must have been thinking of one that you’ve shared before.

26 with two extra that had different covers from memory. Barrett has one and Jeff has the other alternative jigged variations.

They get posted every now and then and are beautiful knives.

Correct, 26 was the count only the vintage elevator Micarta, not including the extra two knives, which were made with leftover liners that had already been stamped with the GL-24 stamp. I ashe’d Eric to choose the handle materials. He had slightly different names for these on the box labels, but I referred to them Pickle Bone and Cranberry Relish Jigged Bone. 😁

Another bushfire kicked up after the last one took out 175,000 acres. This one is surging 3 or 4 miles of the family farm I grew up on. Dad sold up about 2 years ago but I have friends and clients who are in the firing line. Fingers crossed
It’s Smokey!

Sorry to hear that, Jack. I hope they get it under control without too much damage/loss.
