Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Yes, they care nothing for the world famous reputation their forebears achieve :(

I reckon they were at least made at that factory Steve, the lower one may, technically be a Howarth. Before John Maleham bought the business, Jack Howarth ran both firms out of there:thumbsup:

Thanks for the info Jack !

What about it makes you lean toward Howarth ?

Hope you've had a good day Jack 👍 Shultz is looking good. Here a pic of another German made Lamb 🐑

Tomorrow was supposed to be the dog sled race on Lake Minnetonka. Unfortunately they made the right call when they cancelled it a few weeks ago; they certainly couldn’t have held it in this weather.

Pics from a few years back:

One day I'd love to see that race, or one like it. Too bad about the snow, I hope you all get some soon!

There were 26 made, all shown in that pic there.
Thank you Barrett, that's what I thought but I didn't want to give any misinformation. 👍

Sometimes that makes for a reasonable weekend Pat :) A popular choice today :)
Thanks Jack, these are sure to go down as classics. :)

Nice pic of your GL-24 🐑
Thank you my friend! :)

Seeing that the CC Real Lambsfoot is financially out of reach, what would be the next best alternative?

We can’t discuss buying, but options that are out there include

- Wrights
- Taylor’s eye witness
- Joseph Rodgers
- George Wostenholm

You’ll also see limited releases such as Albers, Daniels and Waynorth pop up time to time.

There's been a fair bit of sales talk here lately, so I'd be grateful if we could curtail that please. It's easy enough to send a DM

Thank you Jack for your insight. I feel I may have lucked out with a British version.
It looks good Bob :) Burgon & Ball, were probably best known, internationally, for their sheep shears

I was all set for a quiet night David, but then Matt and his missus invited me up to the pub, with the kids, for a couple of hours. I'd already eaten, but they all had pizzas, and we had beers and margaritas. Walking home, I had a good chat with Cillian about climbing techniques, think I might have a pair of climbing shoes that'll fit him soon :)

Classic inter-war German folder there David, and based both on the bolster, and the tang stamp, I reckon it's a Richartz  I have a similar Pruner by the firm. Great jigging

Beers and Margaritas sound great right now.

That’s a cool blade stamp. Love older stamps and one of my favorites being the older Wostenholm stamp. Not sure why I like it so much but I do.

Running errands before my shift tonight. Saw KFC and could not resist stopping in for a Nashville Hot famous bowl 😊. Rodgers shadow lamb today.

Thank you Jack 👍 🤠

The bolster, but thinking about it now, that old Wright's of yours has a similar bolster doesn't it? Basically, under Jack Howarth, Howarth and Wright's were the same firm, at that time
Afternoon Guardians! A little cooler today but the sun is out so it's not to bad. Hope y'all are having a good day. Blue Lamb 🐑 is TCB. Stay Frosty 👍🤠

Please just refer people to the Thread Index Jack, there's plenty of information already in this thread if people take five minutes to look. If you want to help them out beyond that, feel free to do it by DM
Another bushfire kicked up after the last one took out 175,000 acres. This one is surging 3 or 4 miles of the family farm I grew up on. Dad sold up about 2 years ago but I have friends and clients who are in the firing line. Fingers crossed
It’s Smokey!
