Thanks BobLooks like you are traveling in style today Mitch.![]()
Loads of character and character.Brian's sure got a nice patina going !
Nicely put, Will.As a writer, I feel precluded from making statements such as "I don't have the words..." or "I'm speechless" - the whole job is, quite literally, having the words.
That said, I'm grasping at words but most seem inadequate. "Grateful" is up near the top of the stack, as is "ecstatic," "overwhelmed," and with a generous dusting of "humbled." "Spellbound" gets pretty close. "Unworthy?" Fate already answered in the negative.

Look on my Waynorth Lamb, ye mighty, and despair!
I really believed this knife was beyond me. By the time I heard of its existence, I'd already counted myself out and was resigned to admire them from across a digital divide. However, the described scenario wasn't to be, and I couldn't be happier. I'm overjoyed and should probably be in search of some kind of joy antidote but instead, I just keep fiddling with this knife! A Waynorth lambsfoot in my very own hands, in my very own pocketses!
I won't go into the whole story, but it was a doozy. A couple Guardians helped - one in extremis, and they all know who they are. I'm eternally grateful. You guys are hells of guys... hells full of guys... whatever - great bloody group we've got here!
Thank you @waynorth for your perseverance, effort, and vision. Thank youJack Black for being the Osiris of this whole thing. Thank you Jeremy
sbh06 for agreeing to craft a stunning conveyance for a most deserving knife. Thank you Guardians for your daily passion (and pictures!).
You'll be seeing this one a lot. I hope you like the cut of her jib. She already has a name, but I'll keep it to myself for now.
Congrats Will, great picture !![]()
Congrats Will. This one seemed to bring out many emotions in the recipients.![]()
Awesome, Will. Happy for you.
You definitely have the words, Will! And nice words they are!!
Glad you are enjoying - nay rejoicing, in your new knife!!!
Please do so in good health!!
Charlie

Thanks MitchSounds like you still had a good day.
Hope you gents are still wearing your winter coat
Thanks for editing your post DaveThank you, Jack. Sorry about the unforced error yesterday![]()
I'm going to do something smart one day JerMy doctor will make me add a drug to my metformin. All these Little Debbie lunches will have destroyed the credibility of my plans to deal with it by smart eating.

I still mean to start eating smart in the near future. (I've got lots of books on it.)
Made for a nice pic David
Hate it when that happens!Dammit, I was almost done with a multiquote response.
Thanks for your well wishes. The diabetes will be fine. I've bought more cookbooks and another knife (a funayuki from the river, Chris Kimball is so excited about the one he wants to sell me).
Today's weather was fine, and my snow residue almost all melted before I got home. We'll see about the all-store meeting weather tomorrow. At least there won't be much traffic at 5:30 Sunday morning.

View attachment 2792007Good evening, guardians. We took a trip up to Waimea today to picnic under the cherry blossoms.
It's 4:30 and there's no new snow out there. Looks like I'm going to work.
I'd better get going. An hour goes fast this early in the morning.

I'll be the envy of all my friends, with my heavy steel mess tray and Swedish Army flatware. Not to mention Rose Beast.![]()
No paper plates for this class act cowboy, please.
I've had an easy morning, read my book for an hour, did some light housework, some plinking with this fab G10 slingshot, which Bob recently gifted me

I'm hoping to catch up with a bit of knife maintenance later, and some housework
Then I have a couple of online meetings late afternoon, and most likely, some work to follow. Have a great day everyone
