Morning Guardians, Berry is riding the RFP this morning and has already cut a bagel and opened a large box. Just enjoying some coffee with BFC, now.

Nice Lambs 🐑 gentlemen 👍🤠

Good morning Guardians, I hope your doc's appointment went well yesterday David, you too Bob, and that young Charlie is well on his way to eating ice-cream :) Hope Will and Paul are recovered too, and that everyone else is doing well  I'm off to the hospital for some wound care, but the appointment time was pushed back until midday, so I have time to take care of a few things first. I was 30 minutes into a movie last night, when some work came in, and I was on with that until midnight  Taking my Albert Oates Sheldon Lamb out with me today, thanks Steve :) Have a great day everyone, and stay well!

I’ve always found those Sheldon knives really interesting.

Wife happened to be off today so she told me to get ready and get in the car. As a good husband would do…..I follow orders. She surprised me with a great lunch at the japaneses hibachi. Had some sushi and some teriyaki steak and shrimp!!!!! It was delicious. We are fully over our stint with whatever bug we had and it was nice to get out.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a hibachi/teppanyaki place like that. Food looks good!

Back to winter here

At least it didn’t stick around too long… but it was not fun to shovel.

I’ve got the day off today. Kids are off school so I decided to stay home and enjoy the day with them. A good day to pocket the GL-24

Nice shot of your Guardians Albers.

Wow, Bob!! 😲😎

Pie shop opens in English Town. Queuing system collapses!

I know you’ve shared videos of that event in years past, and I still have no idea what exactly is going on. I do know that I’m not interested in participating. 😁

Little man went well today, nurses said he was the most upbeat and funniest little kid they’ve had. That’s our Charlie to a tee 🙂

Had a couple of “cronut’s” afterward. Apple and cinnamon on the left, pistachio on the right. Delicious.

Glad to hear Charlie’s surgery went well!

My wife bought a Costco cheesecake!!! Breakfast of champions. It was not sweet enough already, so I added cherries😃View attachment 2810597

That Costco cheesesteak is decent, and you get enough to last you quite a while!

I kept Boring Ray company for as long as was humanly possible…

🤣🤣

Truly a special knife day, Guardians. Couple of fine blades came in the mail today as gifts from two wonderful gentlemen. One I can’t show here but This one I most certainly can. Daniel W Daniel W sent me this wonderful handmade shadow lamb. I’m truly honored my friend. What a knife it is. You are well on your way and I can most definitely speak for the build quality. Hope the pictures do it justice. This will be in the forever lamb rotation.

Action is wonderful and blade is straight down the middle. Covers are beautifully cut and polished. Pins and pivot are perfect. Green micarta and 1095 will age wonderfully. Thank you. Straight into the pocket for work.

That’s awesome! Nicely done, Daniel W Daniel W ! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I’ve been working with an Aussie maker to replicate my old Edwin Blyde lamb for the last couple of months. Today of all days it turned up in the mailbox, a great birthday surprise.

The maker went through multiple iterations getting the frame, jigging and dye right. I’m happy with result and can’t wait to put some age on those bone covers. Walk and talk is exceptional too.
Just like the original it’s 3 1/2” closed, small but with a strong curve in the handle it fits comfortably in the hand.

Interesting covers mimicking your old knife, Jack. That blade looks great!

Cool pic, Steve!

I’m guessing there’s some sort of legal technicality behind that being labeled “Navy Spirit Drink” and not “Navy Rum”?

I’ll borrow Steve’s thing and post a bonus pic. My biggest couple of months on the lambs to date (and probably ever going forward). A period my wallet and wife will neither forgive nor forget!

Good looking group of Lambs, Jack!

So, I finally had it with the Twisted Lambs edge. It was just too thick behind the edge and since they butchered the initial grind it just wasn't getting much better no matter what I did. I decided to get out my hand held belt sander. I flipped it over on it's back on my workbench and with a worn out 80 grit belt I carefully started sanding the blade. I dipped in water often to keep it cool. I started with the pile side and it went pretty well so I went ahead and did the mark side. No action shots but after that I used finer and finer wet dry paper to smooth it out. I then gave it a subtle vinegar patina

It's much thinner behind the edge with a subtle convex grind.

Looks like you did a pretty nice job, Steve.:thumbsup:

I've stopped drinking for Jent* too

* - Jack's Lent runs from Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday) to my birthday on the 30th March ;)

I think your modified Lent period seems more than reasonable. 😁

Nice pile-side shot of your GL-24, Pete!

Good morning Guardians, I hope that everyone is well, and that you had a fine weekend. My internet signal was so bad, I couldn't load posts last night, and gave up in the end. I watched some comedy. Thought this might amuse some of you ;)

Bill Bailey is great. I think I may have mentioned watching Black Books for the first time a while back, and of course, we can’t forget Bill’s role in a Guardians’ favorite. 😁

Weird one for you lambsfoot fiends. I introduce you to……Grandmas picnic table collection.

Reminds me of Harry Potter. Is that your carry for the Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw quidditch match? 😁🤓

Posted this guy up in the horn thread and realized it more importantly should be here. Also I don't think I've ever taken the time to thank everyone for the kind words on the lambfoot knife project. It was an absolute pleasure and a heck of a lot of fun working on that one. Hope everyone's having fun with 'em!

Eric

Thanks again for doing the Guardians knives for us, Eric! I think it’s safe to say they were a hit!:thumbsup:

Good looking horn there, actually reminds me a bit of the first Guardians SFOs that Jack had done.
