Monday Morning!
Thanks mateSorry to hear about your camera battery, and the weather, and the antique shops, and the Dutch-idiot pub, but hey, you still got some nice pics, and that chip butty looks tasty (and the D&B, of course!).![]()
What an idiot!I saw a video the other day in which a British fellow went to the famous Katz’s Deli in NYC and claimed that they wouldn’t make him a chip butty, so he “was forced” to buy a pastrami sandwich (for $29!!) and a side of fries/chips. He then discarded the mountain of pastrami (I believe this is what they call “rage bait” these days) and stuffed the chips between the remaining bread for his chip butty.![]()
Cantankerousness is taken seriously in Yorkshire mate!It always amazed me how some people, in a situation like that, are incapable of simply saying, “Thanks!” or, “Cheers!” As if you should’ve known that he didn’t drink (30 seconds after he’d asked you when the pub opened).![]()
When I read that in my head, it just sounded like a New Zealand accent.![]()
Thanks BarrettNice pic, Jack. On Saturday night, Julie and I were trying to decide on somewhere to have dinner. She suggested an Irish pub near her work that we hadn’t tried before, but I reminded her it was the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day and the place was sure to be packed. We went for Italian instead.
Excellent choice mo chara! For St. Patrick’s Day, I obviously had to go with my only green-handled Lambsfoot, this Albers Lamb in Pickle Bone (my name for it, not Eric’s).

Hard to beat a Charlie LambIt’s been a minute since I brought this one along for the day, but today just felt right.
(Old pic as I don’t have good light where I’m at now)

It was no better in England mate!![]()
I think he has claimed to have invented the whole genre!![]()
Some of these recollections are a bit fanciful, but interestingly Christopher Johnson's Western Works gets a mention!![]()
I still think NMTB was a great album. but always thought Lydon was a £$@%![]()
A great day indeed, but I think we better take this to DM Will, or the other Guardians will be bored to tears!![]()

Some nice sunshine this afternoon after stormy weather the past couple of days:

This Twisted is taking its sweet time breaking in. Today was the first day it has felt consistently pretty good. Prior, it would have periods of intermittent and inexplicable grittiness. I think maybe a metal shaving was wedged in there and finally worked its way free. That's what it felt like, at least.

Sweet shot Steve

Good to know we weren't alone!
"The Stooges" have entered the chat.
Yes, I could make a lot of observations! That's awesome! I can dig it! The write up on that Bandcamp page is totally wild!!
Very interesting. Gonna dig in a bit later.
He's got even worse with age!Agreed on both counts.
It would be my pleasure. Apologies, Guardians - a whole 'nother rabbit hole!! If only the thread had initially been titled "Guardians of the Lambfoot (and Sheffield Punk Rock!)"![]()
You're probably right about that piece of fash WillThank you, Jack.

Greek on Christmas, Italian on New Year's, and Dim Sum on St. Paddy's Day? It happened! Before that was Senior Citizen bowling where I bowled especially well - perhaps too well. Next week, I may be found to have been the big winner of the meet which would net me more cold hard cash and another scolding fromJakeywax31 . "Bring it" I say!

Nice pile side shot David
A few years ago, I got into the habit of listening to one of the BBC radio stations (6) on Sundays. Iggy Pop used to sometimes guest as a DJ, and he had a great knowledge of music of all genresI had a roommate in college that liked punk. I did not. What can I say, just not to my taste. OTOH I did and do like the Stooges. Maybe because Iggy is a MIchigan boy
