Indeed. I don't take a lot. I think you ARE thinking of cilantro (or coriander) Jer. I find the same, I can tolerate a littleOne's mileage may vary. I'm also in the camp that thinks cilantro tastes like soap. Unless I'm thinking of cumin. Yeah, cumin.
Many thanks Jeff, unfortunately I have to go out tonight, which I am not looking forward to, and then have an early start, and a long day tomorrowJack, may the karma of the Pals' Lamb overcome your ailments, as all of our good wishes are with you. Be well.
Great pic Steve!
I like that better than a Beaver shield Steve.
First, glad your mother in law is finding some relief Dave.Good morning, Guardians! First, a Twisted lamb at breakfast shot to get the post regs officially approved.View attachment 2844601If you’ll indulge a few extra photos (I will share them as thumbnails) I’m going to catch you up on my very nice fishing trip from last week. My 85-year old mother in law has been in and out of the hospital since last weekend; fortunately she is doing well although we still don’t know exactly what is causing her back pain. So I have not been able to do much but post knife photos here and there this week.
View attachment 2844602That said it was a fine trip to east Texas to visit an old high school friend’s family place at a 100+ year old hunting and fishing club on a private lake. We got lucky with the weather as our drive was rainy but once we got out there the weather turned perfect for fishing. We were able to get out in the boat for some cool evening flyfishing before the sun went down. View attachment 2844605 A friendly Texas alligator watched us from a safe distance. View attachment 2844603 The bite was steady and I caught a dozen or so, including one largemouth that was almost 3lbs. View attachment 2844604 Lots of hungry and healthy fish including many jumbo bluegill and even a crappie, which are usually down deep and not caught on a fly very often. View attachment 2844606View attachment 2844607We headed in for the evening and checked out the old lodge which features taxidermy going back to the 1930s View attachment 2844608and a fireplace with a wonderful old Winchester ad on the mantle. View attachment 2844609A photograph of one of the locals added some drama to things.View attachment 2844610. I have more photos from grilled our steak dinner and fishing the next day but 10 is max in a post, so I’ll leave it here for now. I hope you all have an excellent Thursday! PSJack Black I was in such a hurry to get my fishing gear together and loaded that I sadly forgot an entire bag I had packed with knives, including several lambs I was going to take out on the boat for some action shots.
Oh well, best laid plans…

Great pic Steve!
I called in at the market while I was in town, but could only stay for half an hour. This was partly because I had other places to be, but also because, after a 2 month absence, I am finding a return to Tool Man's full-throated stupidity a shock to my system. Perhaps they found his brain while they were operating, and seeing it had barely been used, threw it away![]()

A unique beauty, Steve!Old Gnaw bone
A unique beauty, Steve!
Now you mention it, I remember you suggesting turmeric pills for some pain I was having some time back. I don't remember why I didn't try it. Maybe pills were expensive enough I thought I'd just dump more ground turmeric into my vegetable melanges.Indeed. I don't take a lot. I think you ARE thinking of cilantro (or coriander) Jer. I have both! Now to design a costume. There's a mutation that makes cilantro taste like soap. There's also a mutation that makes a person looking at a bright light need to sneeze
Hope you have a great time buddy!Howdy, Guardians. Unfortunately I didn’t bring knives to Eugene because I did not want to risk checking a bag with all the connecting flights. So no lamb as of right now but maybe I can get lucky tomorrow. I am enjoying this beer at the airport bar however. Cheers my friends.
