Someone recommended me a light oil that I really enjoy. I swap between mineral and this depending on how things feel.Good evening gents,
I could use some help troubleshooting the action on my Albers.
I noticed that the action on my lambsfoot wasn’t exactly buttery smooth and was wondering if flushing the joint might improve it. Much like it would on some of the new GECs.
Well, I put in a liberal dose of mineral oil and have been working it in for about half an hour now and the action is noticeably MUCH worse than before. Very rough and sticks in certain points.
Is it the oil I’m using? Do these not need to be flushed? I’m stumped

Thanks for that! Do you know if that oil is food safe by chance?Someone recommended me a light oil that I really enjoy. I swap between mineral and this depending on how things feel.
https://a.co/d/6umCozM - I hope posting this does not break any rules, it's not an auction and I'm not affiliated with the product in any way. Can remove if needed.
At your own risk, all the disclaimers, etc, you can also try flitz or case paste on the tang to polish it out. This is not something I'd do unless I fully intend to keep the knife long term.

All the info it comes with is not English, but if you trust the Amazon info then yes it claims to be good safe. Usually if I use this, I will do what I need to then go back over it with a coat of mineral oil to 'wash' the other away. Thanks for that! Do you know if that oil is food safe by chance?
