Nice work Barrett, thanks again
I wonder if any of our Antipodean Guardians will call in, so that there are some pins in the southern hemisphere?
Oops! I forgot.

How 'bout you?

-Chin you think and talk like a Canadian or is it the other way around eh?LOL, I hear genetic researchers are trying to create a capsaicin bearing, spicy tomato. But the grail and pinnacle of this whole line of human endeavour has to be a beer producing cow, eh?![]()

The Lambsfoot points to the spot, right around Melbourne, Australia.

Looking out to the Southern Ocean, next stop Antarctica...

Thanks for doing this Barrett @btb01, it’s pretty cool to see the map.
Lookin’ good GT.A tasty and colourful plate.
Yeah, I dug up that post Jack was referring to on how to smooth out the walk’n’talk, and slightly lighten the apparent pull weight on stiff or gritty actioned knives.
There’s a bit of discussion preceding that post as well, regarding using abrasive compounds to lap in your pocket knife action, which came from a tip from Stan Shaw.
Oh, and yes, that’s the same ol’ prodigal Lambsfoot I lost for a few weeks GT, after using it in the field to harvest some tasty mushrooms. Absence sure did make the heart grow fonder in this case!

I just thought all Lambsfoot knives had magical properties.Sometimes your rosewood looks quite dark, John, much darker than my rosewood Union Jack. In other photos, it looks considerably lighter. A chameleon rosewood on your hands you've got!![]()

Great photo my friend. I used to work at the Airport desk Calgary, booking folks a bus to Banff National Park. I was asked numerous times if I was from Australia?I just got your reference, Dave!
Yep, Australians up North generally have a slower, more laconic and considered speech delivery, and like to append eh, or ay onto the end of their sentences, like Canadians. My parents must have picked up the conversational trait on the hippy trail up the North coast of Australia in the ‘70s and I seem to have reacquired it from talking to station (ranch) owners and farmers, chatting to them while hunting their outback properties.
Adding some Lambsfoot content:

I should have left my two-blader alone. I'd like to see John Maleham open the main blade when the nick is covered by the pen blade.
Not that I'm not over it.
You ain't just whistlin' Dixie, brother! This bus has turned from a local into the Marrakesh Express!
I used to catch up with a week's worth of posts on the weekend, but now, if I let 2 days go by, I'm toast!
Think I can learn to be a party animal late in life?!?Handsome horn, FBC!
Love the stygian ebony, Barrett!
Taylor, is that new little girl of yours making you "clean up your act" already??Those daughters can make dads do crazy stuff!
I'm with Dwight.I was doing really well until I turned 63 (and stopped smoking, but I hope that's just a strange coincidence), but soon thereafter suffered a significant energy crisis that persists to the present.

(I'm thinking of looking for a decent pair of fencing pliers at flea markets in the spring, just for old times' sake.)
Happy impending anniversary, Dennis, and I hope you score a lambsfoot from your bride!(Did she drop any hints about what SHE wants??
)
Sorry to hear about the insurance hang-up, Dwight, although that may be preferable to my having an EKG done and having insurance refuse it after the fact.
I agree that Barrett @btb01 deserves massive Guardian gratitude for the map project!
Superb shot of your AC!
Thanks, Vince.(And I see, and like, what you did there!
)
Thanks, Dave.
Sounds like we use the thumb the same, but on the other side, I use only my index finger lying parallel to the blade (trying to get as much finger surface area in contact with the blade as possible).
Cool antler on antler pic!
Thanks for the good advice, Jack.
Your AC is looking better, and BIGGER, all the time, Vince!
Impressive flock of lambsfoot knives, Randy, and it's appropriate and amazing that you have a Barlow version!
Thanks for the farm size info and the praise for my pic, David. That was taken about a year ago when I thought I noticed the horn on my Lam Jack starting to slightly shrink from the pins, bolsters, liners.
I started "weight training" about 7 years ago as I was rehabbing from knee surgery, and I'm much stronger now at 67 than I was at 60 (or probably 50).
Thanks for the "cool"trek photos.
I agree with that, John. Another thing I've noticed is that a lot of tasks just seem to take me longer than they used to, so by the time I finish some hard work, there's often not much time to "decompress".
Yikes! We'll dispatch the St. Bernards immediately, Dwight!
10 inches seems excessive, Harry.Glad you've got the equipment to handle it!
I often see Victorinox SAKs with "thematic" covers, like DLT's SAKs that look like WWII planes. I wonder how that happens?
Veni, Vidi, Kicked Butt!! (What movie is that, or a reasonable facsimile, from?)
Congrats, John!
Great to see that one,Pt-Luso !
Will you want your location added to the Google map that's been created?
Hey, that's news I can use, Jack!

Thank you very much, Gary!
Got one dressed in horn on order!
And yes, she made it very clear what she wanted, some Perfume! Got it, bought it, and she's always wearing it!
Eating healthy is too dangerous!
Speaking of one dressed in horn!Hope mine looks as good as yours!

Thanks Jack! With those temperatures it sounds like you need something extra my friend, and that beautiful knife is a great choice![]()
I'm pretty excited for both knives too. The start of the year is shaping up to be a good one.I am almost as excited about seeing your Parker Space Shuttle knife as I am about seeing the Guardians knives John!![]()

What kind of wood is that? It's got nice grain and a beautiful color.
Good morning Dave. I like that coffee cup, reminds me of camping. Very nice picture to start the morning.
