Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I'm pretty excited for both knives too. The start of the year is shaping up to be a good one.

What kind of wood is that? It's got nice grain and a beautiful color.

My son left a mess on the table after his wild party last night. He will have to clean it up when he awakes. Him and his friends spent hours and hours searching for secret rooms, battling bosses, slaying dragons, and rolling dice to decide their fate. :D

Good Morning Guardians

Thanks for the compliment! It’s Ironwood. :) This one originally had some of the most beautiful horn you have seen. It warped so bad I reluctantly decided to have Glenn @glennbad recover it for me. I am glad I did. He did a remarkable job!

Kids eh :p What really gets my goat is when my grandson 5 leaves lego on the floor for Grandpa to step on!

He did a fantastic job. He has one of my knives, sitting in line waiting for its turn for new handles.

Thanks, John, I grabbed onto that cup a few years back for two reasons, it has a nice wide base so there is less chance of me tipping it over. Also, the cup is insulated to keep my coffee warmer longer. :D
I may have to look into an insulated cup because I hate it when my coffee cools. Yuk!

I used to hate that!!! Luckily my youngest is turning 18 years old. He still has Legos, but they are displayed on a shelf along with his few GEC knives. It is actually great to see my kid and his friends getting together to play D&D instead of out drinking and chasing girls like I used to do at his age :D

Great pics gents  Yes, John, this could be the Year of the Lambsfoot! :D

Glenn did a fabulous job :) I am going to have to find a project for him :) That was a shame about the horn though. I don't know if you remember me telling you that I had 2 knives which were similarly affected after I had left them out in the sun? Strangely, they both recovered completely, you could even tell that they had ever warped now

Yep, I hate the lukewarm! o_O :D

Ouch! Thinking of that brought back plenty of painful memories!

They are inexpensive and widely available these days John, much like all-stainless flasks. At some point, the manufacturing process must have gotten cheaper, because the first double-wall stainless camping mug I bought (which I still have) cost me £25 in the mid-80's. That was about $50 at the time! I definitely recommend getting stainless, rather than the cheap aluminium ones though, keeps your coffee nice and HOT :)

I will have to find one without the metal ring at the top. I dislike tasting metal as I drink my coffee. I have one at work that I use as an emergency cup, but the metal bothers me. I'll have to do some searching.

Bonus Patina Shot...

My brother & I will recommend CONTIGO. They makes excellent car holder type cups that hold hot all day - are unbreakable - and at least, the one I use has no metal in the drinking area. Also dishwasher safe. I think another brand is YETI though they seem to be stupid expensive and are primarily intended for keeping stuff cold. Don't know all that for certain. Been using Contigo for quite a few years though and don't hesitate to recommend.

My knife content - soon to come

You get silicone lips for them, but I find I can't taste stainless or titanium. Patina is coming along nicely

I'm glad they recovered Jack! I would have been perfectly happy with the original horn and I tried everything I could think of, except putting them in the sun! ;) I am happy the way it turned out.

It was very strange Ron, after photographing them, I contacted Wright's, and they said they'd replace the knives. The next time I was going over, I took them back out of the drawer I'd put them in, and there was nothing wrong with them! o_O

Sometimes my belts do that. And they're leather, not horn!
