I haven't made a stick in 2 or 3 years, and worry that I'll have lost the skills and knowledge![]()
Great choice and smart move Steve.
That high pressure is supposed to be over the Sonoran desert, not central east US.Stay cool Jer. We have a heat warning as well, it's already 82° at 6am. The heat index for later is 110°![]()
They don't look like homegrown.
The girls are looking good. The girls got to enjoy a golf cart ride around the neighborhood.

I have a walnut growing between the planks of my deck that will become a stick this year. It's a handful where it becomes round above the planks, and I presume it has a reverse taper below the planks. I haven't decided whether I'll just cut it after the sap falls, or try to bend it at a right angle before the sap falls, and see if it forms a handle. I think science demands the latter.
The heat advisory starts at noon and ends tomorrow evening, unless they change their minds and lengthen it again. Half a gallon of water will still be enough for a four hour shift. It would be silly to give myself heat exhaustion by carrying extra water.
Yikes!Stay cool Jer. We have a heat warning as well, it's already 82° at 6am. The heat index for later is 110°![]()

Great shot of your AC Steve
I didn't get the chance of a cup yesterdayI enjoy coffee, but only drink it occasionally. It’s just never been one of those have-to-have-it things for me.
LOL!I don’t even trust chicken fried steak when I see it on a menu in Minnesota.
We’re back home in Arkansas right now, visiting family and friends. I’ve had my GL-24 with me the last couple days, but I’ve got a couple different lambs with me so I’ll try to change it up while we’re here.

LOL!
Nice pic Mitch
Definitely!
That's nice Barrett, I'm glad you're able to keep in touch with your friends and family thereWe spent the evening at my best friend’s parents’ house. We used to have Sunday dinners with them just about every week when we still lived here in Arkansas, and they’re basically family, so it’s always good when we can spend some time with them when we’re in town. Had a couple beers, some wine and plenty of good food (no one ever leaves their house hungry).
I had my Cosimo Lambsfoot with me.

Sorry to hear your troubles Jack. May you find some cooler days ahead and have no need for fans. Everything is made to be disposable now!I managed to find some fuses in the kitchen drawer, but that wasn't the issue with my fan, and after taking it apart, and finding nothing else wrong, I reckon it's the motor. It's a nice fan, and at one time I'd have taken it to the local electrical shop to get it repaired, but those shops are long gone sadlyI remembered I had a small desk fan, and a couple of air purifiers, and I also have a fan in the bedroom, so I reckon I'll survive

Yes mate, nearly impossible to have electrical items fixed now.I reckon it's the motor. It's a nice fan, and at one time I'd have taken it to the local electrical shop to get it repaired, but those shops are long gone sadly
