Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, yesterday turned into a bit of a nightmare work day for me, as I was being asked to help out with something. Having sorted it out, I went to a country pub with Matt and Cillian, and the problem recurred, so I was having to try to sort it out on my phone. We visited the Harewood Arms, on the very edge of Leeds, which used to be a favourite stopping off point, when I had business in nearby Harrogate, but has been closed for about a year, due to the extreme quirkiness of the Sam Smith's brewery owner  We were expecting some changes, new decor, a new menu perhaps, but in fact it's exactly the same, so I've no idea why they were closed so long. The same happened with one of their popular pubs in Leeds city centre, it closed for a couple of years, then re-opened exactly the same as before 😖

One thing that HAD changed was the fact that they're now using plastic glasses if you're seated outside, and they certainly appear to hold quite a bit less than a pint 🤨

Unfortunately, I had to get back home to do more work, which was frustrating, and then my fan stopped working, and I gave my spare one to some neighbours  I'm hoping it's just a fuse, but when I went to my tool box to get one, I realised that it must be 20 years since I last changed a fuse, maybe more. I'm sure I have some somewhere still, but I'm going to have to ferret through my tool box to find them  That's my first job, and then I've got a bunch of other work to do, so unfortunately, it's not going to be a restful Sunday :( I hope you have a good one Guardians, and get to put your feet up with a cold one :) Carrying my GL-24

Tough times at work. A silver lining to retiring early to take care of my wife is that I don’t have to deal with things like that. My last job was very high stress and I don’t miss it.

Any 1 that eats chilli has probably done that & or wiped their eyes 😪
I'm not sure which is worst! 😱 😁

You have a great job my friend :) I haven't had that kind of stress since I stopped dealing with Sheffield cutlers, but it's rare these days, thankfully :D
Afternoon Guardians! Jack sorry your day went sideways. Hope everyone else has a good day. Happy trails 🤠

I hate the disposable nature of society these days Leon
That is the path they have forced us down. Make everything with a limited lifespan so it has to be replaced, much more profitable for the manufacturers, and does wonders for the planet and environment e.g. " Stuffs It ". The sheer hypocrisy of these people telling how they are looking after the environment with all their unfixable junk going into landfill on top of using energy and materials to keep making more. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Very true my friend :) Over here, some years back, they were supposedly making all the radio stations digital, which sold a load of digital radios. I must have had half a dozen of them, because they are junk, and also use a lot more power. The first was the worst, and the most expensive, made by PURE, and supposedly very environmentally friendly. Two years after I bought it, it stopped working, and when I contacted the company, they told me it "wasn't economically viable" to repair them, and offered me another at a slight discount! My mate Scooby had a look, and it had a cracked circuit board, which he said must have happened at the factory. I got a couple more years use out of it, but my first radio had valves and was inherited from my great grandmother, if I'd kept it, it'd probably still be working!
Great pic Steve

He manned up. I would have run.😂
Could have been worse.
When we were kids my mum was working night shifts. Well my older brother decided we would put the car out the yard, I think he was 15. Any way he reversed okay got the 1st quarter past then caught the left hand side on the gate kept going and got stuck. We couldn't get the doors open. Needless to say I was through the window and out of there. He scraped half the side of the car.

I can imagine what happened afterwards.🤣
