I hate the disposable nature of society these days Leon :( I bought that fan off a friend on the market, but it's a £200 fan, and a nice-looking one, seems crazy to have to throw it out for want of a motor :rolleyes: My old pal Scooby, who was an electronics engineer by trade, would have snapped it up. Up until he died a few years ago, he still had my grandmother's freezer, though that had never needed any work at all :thumbsup:
 
Anybody remember the movie Cherry 2000, where a Mark Harmon lookalike tries to replace his shorted-out sex robot with the help of Melanie Griffith in the desert of the future?
The connection being that Trackers roved the wilderness at great personal risk in search of recyclables and repairables.

The same happened with one of their popular pubs in Leeds city centre, it closed for a couple of years, then re-opened exactly the same as before 😖

One thing that HAD changed was the fact that they're now using plastic glasses if you're seated outside, and they certainly appear to hold quite a bit less than a pint 🤨

Unfortunately, I had to get back home to do more work, which was frustrating, and then my fan stopped working, and I gave my spare one to some neighbours :rolleyes: I'm hoping it's just a fuse, but when I went to my tool box to get one, I realised that it must be 20 years since I last changed a fuse, maybe more. I'm sure I have some somewhere still, but I'm going to have to ferret through my tool box to find them :rolleyes: That's my first job, and then I've got a bunch of other work to do, so unfortunately, it's not going to be a restful Sunday :( I hope you have a good one Guardians, and get to put your feet up with a cold one :) Carrying my GL-24 :thumbsup:

I was doing well Steve, until I decided it was too hot to cook, so I'd make a couple of smoked ham sandwiches, and wouldn't some sliced chilli liven up that salad! 🥵 I'm old enough to have the good sense to know that the first thing you do after slicing chillis is to wash your hands, but also old enough to have less short-term memory than it takes to walk to the bathroom, so instead of washing my hands I had a pee instead! 😖

I had a wander down to Charlie's for a cup, more to stretch my legs between work stuff than anything :) You've captured that beauty nicely :) :thumbsup:

Yikes, been there done that. It happened to me when I worked as a prep cook in a fancy seafood restaurant. We were super busy and I was in a hurry to use the restroom and like you forgot to wash my hands after cutting up a bunch of Jalapenos 😕
