Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Okay, looks like I can still get codes using my laptop (though not on my phone). Here are some that I took.

Diamond Head Light House. If you zoom in between the light house and the keeper's quarters you will see a destroyer putting out to sea.

Wow, amazing pics! 😎👍

I was just wondering where you were, and how you were doing, today Will :) I can remember moving slower when I lived in hotter climes :D That's slower than I moved THEN, not slower than I move NOW! 🤣 Nice presentation of your Flat-cap Lamb there, what's the background?

Thanks, Jack. Fortunately or unfortunately, all is about the same with me!

The background. About 20 years back I was helping this old woman, who I was renting an efficiency from, clean out her freestanding garage for a reduction in that month's rent. I seem to attract old people like a freshly dead armadillo does buzzards.

She had worked in advertising and design and remained "artsy" into her advanced age. She was also an incorrigible pack rat. Her garage was filled with all kinds of neat stuff - books on typography, esoteric drafting tools, dried-up tubes of paint, myriad plastic cups full to bursting with hundreds of worn-out paintbrushes, and more.

Amongst it all was a mildewed navy-blue cardboard box embossed with "PLEXIGLASS® SAMPLE SET." True to its claim, the box contained a whole bunch of these little squares of Plexiglass in all different colors, opacities, and textures. The colorful half of the stack is shown here, the other half are mostly whites, blacks, greys, and beiges. The box, sadly, deteriorated entirely.

As an artist, I've always struggled with using color. I know the theories, but it all feels very formulaic. These little squares help me find happy color combination accidents that I might not have come up with otherwise. Throw some on the desk, swish them around like little tarot cards, find a color pairing you hadn't thought of before. More swishing. That's it. 😂
