Happy Yorkshire Day !
Sorry i could not participate in the Chip Butty celebration. Off my menu at present time. But i was with everyone in spirit and have really enjoyed looking at all the posts. Thanks for helping me to celebrate Yorkshire Day Guardians,
I love it on anything . Goes great with cold sausages.I love Malt vinegar especially on Fish and Chips and now on Chip Butty's![]()
There was a family by the name of Sciacca in my neighborhood (of many Sicilians) in Buffalo, NY!!One of my grandfathers came from Sciacca on the southern coast.
Garlic is always called for, when available.
Yeah, I didn't do the chip butty challenge either, but I've thoroughly enjoyed today's postsSorry i could not participate in the Chip Butty celebration. Off my menu at present time. But i was with everyone in spirit and have really enjoyed looking at all the posts.
Thanks Jack, I’ll take that as a challenge.Happy Yorkshire Day Jeremy, your cap looks a lot cleaner than mine!
Great to hear Pat, well done![]()

Cutlery, badges and Fantastic Cap worn by a very distinguished looking gentleman. Winners all round.
I wouldn't mate,, ya don't want to end up like Elvis and his deep fried peanut butter & jelly butty's.

LOL!Happy Yorkshire Day, Guardians!
No chip butty for me today, but I did eat the last few tiny broken pieces of tortilla chips from the bottom of a bag - maybe they could be called "butt chippies".
Here's a Rosecraft Briarpatch Jack with a lambsfoot blade at one end, my most recent lambsfoot acquisition:

That's quite a variety DuncanHappy Yorkshire Day Guardians
I’m trying my best and often failing to keep to a certain diet- so no Chippy’s for Duncan
But I wanted to play my part, in this Photo kind of represents the folks here in the Guardian.
A mix of old and new, long and thin or short and stout.
Happy Yorkshire day my friends!
Thanks Jack, I’ll take that as a challenge.![]()
That looks good Tyson, nice sentiment my friendI won the Yorkshire Day giveaway a few years ago - that was my first (of several) lambs and my first (of several) Sheffield-made knives. Now I carry a lamb everyday, and a Sheffield-made knife (sometimes a lamb, sometimes a different pattern) several times a week. So this is not a entry - if the winner of this year's GAW benefits even half as much as I did from my win, then it's a big day for them!
But I did eat a chip butty (made with sweet potato fries because I'm proudly Californian and we have to make things a little weird). It is doused pretty well with Henderson's (Strong and Northern!).

Did you win the giveaway last year? I can't remember who did, the prize was a TEW Lamb with an engraved blade.
Interesting you should ask Barrett. Many years ago, screened porch (or @scrteened porch as we knew him then
) very kindly sent me some Tony Cachere's Louisiana Seasoning, which I think is very similar (flavoured salt basically). I use it sparingly, but like the good diners where folks say "Bam!" when they add it, I keep it on my table. I like to use it when roasting potatoes. I can buy chip spice for a fraction of the cost of Tony's, but I'm attached to it now, and I like having it. I'm guessing it'd be the other way round for you Barrett, with Tony's being cheaper? I forget the story about Hull's connection to chip spice, but it's kind of like Henderson's there, everyone has it, and they think the rest of the world doesn't know about it. For the past decade though, it's become a staple of virtually every British fish and chip shop, sitting next to the salt and vinegar on the counter.

Rose Beast again.
I switched a Merv 13 for the 11, in honor of the Canadian smoke. It's probably bad for these darn kids with their computers nowadays, too. They aren't a sensitive group yet, but they might become one sooner if they breathe enough smoke that's unhealthy for us important types.

My windows are open now because it was 58* when I got up. It's down to 73* inside.
According to my own research, the 13 is close enough to the 11 that it won't strain my blower. From which it might follow that switching to the 13 doesn't make much difference to my particulate intake, but why go there?
