Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

We don't have a dishwasher. I'm the 1 with dish pan hands. Our gas water system is not overly hot. I always boil the kettle and top off the sink with boiling water. You can get them mugs clean😉
You're the salt of the earth Mitch 🙂👍

I walked down to Charlie's, in bright sunshine, but the cafe was closed, as I suspected it would be. Hisham, and all the staff, and those he drafted in, worked really hard over the weekend, and they were still open when I went past about 9.30pm last night. I caught a bus up to the yuppie place a mile up the road, and had 3 pancakes, 3 rashers of bacon, a stingy serving of maple syrup, and 2 mediocre coffees, which cost me £25  I called round at Matt's, as I had something for the kids, and had left a bag round there yesterday. They were planning a lazy day. It was quiet in the area, and the clean-up on the main road has been reasonable, less so on the side streets. Hopefully a few local folk made a bit of extra cash, along with the carpet-baggers ;) I reckon I will have some work later, but it hasn't come in yet

Sweet ! 😍

Beautiful IXL Steve 😎👍

💯👍

Thanks pal 👍

thanks Jack, safe is my middle name these days. I am getting older and will no longer go more than a couple steps up a ladder or set up and climb scaffolding when I am there by myself.

Four beautiful knives, Charlie!!View attachment 2960540
The osprey is such a big powerful bird,we had one were I walked my dog,he had her nest on top of dredge that was retired from dredging the mouth of the red at lake winnipeg, I would watch as she would scoop down and grab ducks and the ducklings to feed her young as well as gosling,I never saw it snag a full grown canadian goose though.now the dredge has been taken to be scrapped and I haven't seen the osprey around for a few years since which kind of bumbs me out because I spent alot of hours watching.that is the first release of Charlie's lambsfoot correct,I'm biased being fortunate to get the last release so I'm a flat cap guy,and being my first lambsfoot blade I now see why the design is a winner especially since I have been a fan of the 47 wharncliff.

Pat, its really tough losing that New Jeerzy sound.

An amazing lineup, Charlie! 😎

Always sad when the etch disappears (well that one anyway, there have been a few GEC etches I'd be glad to see gone :D) :)

I’m a big GEC fan, but they have done some really stupid etches. 🤣

Let sleeping lambs lie?? Or something like that. View attachment 2960053

Good looking assortment of lambs.

That’s the worst, when you order pancakes and they give you a tiny thing of syrup. It’s always the expensive places, too. 🙄

It was my 2024 Knife of the Year my friend, and there was stiff competition! 🙂 Terrific trio 😎👍

Oh man, I hadn’t even thought about Knife of the Year yet. It’s going to be tough for me this year. 😳

This one will be a contender. 😁

Wouldn't say that Kristy does most of the cooking &
The kids well are just spoilt, I blame myself should have been more insistent than just getting stuck in and doing it myself.😁
😁🤙
That burl is mesmerizing 😍
Thanks Steve, I always enjoy carrying it :)
Looking good Mitch, nice pics :)

I have never seen an osprey in the wild, would love to :)
LOL! :D I sure hope Bob is eating OK ;) :D

Fortunately, easily removed! 😂

Maybe I should take my own next time ;) The maple syrup is even charged as an 'extra' too

Good morning Guardians, holiday weekends always slightly disorientate me, even more so than when the clocks go back, or forwards :D Halfway through the week already, and I've barely done a thing :D The weather looks good outside, but according to the forecast, we had some heavy rain coming in mid afternoon. I guess we're due some, but I hope that's not our summer over! I'm optimistic ;) I'm waiting in for a delivery, but it's due before 9.30am, so I'll be able to call in at Charlie's, and then go into town to get supplies ;) I hope everyone is having a good week :) L'Ariete today :)

Happy Hump day Guardians !

Today we are wrapping up the big painting project for this year. We painted 11 building this year and next year we will do the remaining nine building plus the community center.

I am happy that it is over for the year. Managing the project was more work than I anticipated but the end result is excellent and the best paint job we've ever had in 25 years of me living here.

Wally 🐑 today 👍

The dishwasher worked fine, and the hot shower wasn't too unpleasant, even for a tough guy.
Nice to see Rose Beast Jer :)

Well done Steve, enjoy the satisfaction my friend :) Nice pic of Wally :)

I've had a pretty quiet day, a trip to town for some bread, and a few other bits and pieces, a coffee in Charlie's, and a couple of deliveries, including a new jacket for the late summer evenings (not that I need a new jacket :D)...

That guy obviously has a better dentist than me - like 99% of humanity! :D

I realised I had a brief medical appointment tomorrow, mid morning, so rang Tool Man to tell him I wouldn't be down at the market until lunchtime. I thought he was going to cry! 🫣 Even tried to talk me into cancelling the appointment, the selfish sod! 🙄 I'm taking Wolfie out for tea later, so it IS a bit awkward 🤔 Wolfie won't be staying out long, as Karen has been away on holiday with the kids, (probably punishment for my birthday trip), but she's not only back tomorrow, it's her birthday 😳
