I hope everyone is having a good day. The weather has been a bit more pleasant here today, and I had a coffee at Charlie's, before going into town, and picking up some shopping. I was taking a pic of the Word of the Day at the historic Leeds Library, and got talking to a Brazilian lady, new to Leeds, who reasonably enough, didn't realise it is actually a subscription library (fortunately her English was good!). She was looking for a place to study, and I directed her up to the bookshop cafe, where a lot of the customers seem to sit all day.
I haven't heard from Eve in a while, and based on experience with my own girls, might have hazarded a guess as to the reason

She has split up with her first serious boyfriend, and as they shared a house, and hers is rented out, she's moved in with her dad and his wife. It's her birthday this week, (another reminder of my daughters), so I'm taking her for lunch tomorrow, and thought I'd buy her a few extra presents to help heal her heart, poor girl
After coffee and a toasted teacake in the bookshop cafe, I went off to the supermarket, where I encountered some of the new influx of students to the city

Two were asking for student discount at the till!
I'm planning on a quiet evening
