Nice Dave :)
Nice Catch up! I enjoyed it, been away all weekend, need sometime to look back a few pages!

Have the best day or evening folks.
Hope you're keeping well brother! :)

I'd just uncorked a bottle of wine, when I received a request for a press-release  No worries! :D ;)

September 18-22 they doubled our Lowe's employee discount to 20%. I've bought a fireproof box so I can close my safe deposit box, a bathtub spigot with an unbroken shower-diverter, a wire brush, a fire alarm, and a poncho.

I start a lot of fires in the kitchen, and by the time I smell them the house is pretty stunk up. So I'm cleverly putting an alarm right in the room where I start the fires!

Great weather for a walk today, overcast and cool when I started out, then the sun came out a bit later. I walked 6 miles on the trail, covering miles 14 through 17. Curiously, the mile 15 marker was missing. I’m almost certain there was one before — when Eleanor and I did the whole trail several years ago, I marked the location of each mile marker on Google maps — but when I got to the place it should have been, it wasn’t there.

Just past the mile 14 marker, the trail leaves Hennepin County and entered Carver County.

Today’s section of trail took me around the north shore of Lake Waconia.

Kind of strange to see graffiti like this out here. It’s not exactly the middle of nowhere, but there’s not much around, either.

There’s a winery just north of the lake, not far off the trail. I haven’t been there before, but I think Julie has been to a couple events there. You can’t see most of it from the trail (too many trees), but you do walk by some of the vineyards.

I’m not a wine-making expert, but I believe the wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing tube man technique dates back to some of the oldest European vineyards. 😉😁

Another small trestle bridge along the trail provided a good place to stop for some knife pics. I had my Afzelia Burl Albers Lamb with me.

Good haul Jer  Smoke detectors are mandatory in apartment buildings here Jer. I have a smoke detector, a heat detector, and a carbon monoxide detector! Nice to see your '18 going strong
Great shot Mitch, love the contrasting colours

Fantastic pics from your walk Barrett, thank you for taking us along buddy :) Beautiful choice of Lamb  I've never seen those inflatable tube things guarding crops here, I only ever see them at car-washes :D

Good morning Guardians, it looks like a nice day here, and I'm looking forward to seeing Eve. I'm meeting her for a coffee, and then we're going for lunch at a Japanese place. I'm hoping it is too pricey for the students, but you never know these days. There are over 60,000 full-time university students in Leeds, (with a higher number of college students), from over 40 countries, and the first few weeks, when they return to the city, it is mayhem, particularly as many of them have never been on a bus, or in a supermarket, before  We never used to get them in the area where I live, but that is changing too. I hope that some of you get to do some lollygaggin' today Guardians, and that work isn't too cruel for the rest of you ;) Carrying L'Ariete again today

Thanks Jack.
I'm a rule breaker.
blue and green should never seen.😉

They have to be hardwired in new construction here.
I have one at the foot of the basement stairs, because that's easier to reach than the top of the basement stairs. The CO detector is outside my bedroom, but should probably go in the basement where CO would pool. I'd hear it long before it piled its way upstairs.
I might have a couple smoke detectors that aren't in use, that could go on the undersides of the bedroom floors.

I'm also inspired by how long it took me to jump out of bed at 4:30 this morning to see what those strange flashing lights were. (No idea; they were long gone before I got my feet warmed up.)

Have fun with Eve 👍

Nice looking HHB !

Looking Sharp ! 😉

Well, my wife got some of her test results back last night, and the news is not good. Several things going on in the same area, with cellulitis, hernias, blocked urethra and some other stuff we don't even understand. Went this morning to have some more blood drawn and five new meds to pick up. Prayers appreciated! I carried Beni throughout.
