Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well, and that you had a great weekend. I often find myself marvelling at what an incredible bunch of folks we have here :) I have quite a busy day ahead, and need to go into town to pick up a couple of packages, then I have work this evening. Lollygaggin' doesn't last forever unfortunately ;) Have a good day Guardians, and I hope your week gets off to a rewarding start :) I picked up a spare Twisted Assisted Lambsfoot in Brown Linen Micarta, and it's actually the only one of their knives I have :D We'll see how long that lasts, but it's in my pocket this morning

I’m gonna have to pick one of these up Jack! They look great.

Cool pic Steve!👍
Looking good David :)
The Barrett
A fine choice Mitch :)
Jack Black Jack Black 20 years ago, I tended to associate PBR with broke hipsters - if they had any money they'd be drinking incredibly bitter IPAs; Pabst was for when they were low on money. Since I've never been very hip, I've never been much of a fan of PBR (or of IPAs).

I don't think PBR is particularly cheap here Tyson, but there is a hipster connection I'm sure :D IPAs seem to been falling out of fashion here, sours too, I see less and less of them in the hipster bars - they haven't got any less expensive though  Nice shot of your GL-24 buddy
Been busy and away for way too long long! Catching up on the thread everyone’s lambs look great. Been busy coaching high school football (American)….3 more weeks left. Hope everyone else is doing well!
Great to see you here Taylor - and just in time for a beer discussion! :D Good work on the coaching :)

Good morning Guardians, I got up early to take my blood pressure, though it always seems to be highest when I first get up  Generally it's down though :) Flu vaccinations seem a bit late here this year, and I need to call in and book one, now they're available. I might even call in Charlie's before going to the market, and stop by the discount bakery to get Tool Man and Boring Ray some doughnuts! :D Have a good day Guardians

Hope you have a good day at the market Jack. Shall I ring tool man and tell him your bringing donuts? 🍩 🤣

I had two coyote sightings yesterday. My computer overlooks my back yard, which is often why I see them. At 1:50 pm my eye was caught by one trotting across the middle of the yard. He looked around a bit and went back into the field behind my yard. Then a little before 6 pm I was in the yard doing tai chi and I saw one on the other side of the hedge moving deeper into the field.

Nice ebony Jer.

Wow, are they deciding if you would make a tasty meal?

It is good that they are thriving though.

Nice Jer :) My computer overlooks my front garden, and I see all sorts of things, but not a coyote yet
Thanks Jack, have fun at the market ! 👍
Thank you Steve :)

CelloDan CelloDan would have them balancing his Lambsfoot on their noses by now! 🤣

I think about that. The second one must have been watching me for a little while. Maybe it's a good thing I do my tai chi faster than you're supposed to.

I ay-eyed the Taylor Mitchell killing. No sign of trekking poles, which was my theory, based on how excited domestic dogs get at the sight of trekking poles.
There were two coyotes working on her when the other hikers came upon her, but there may have been more coyotes to bring her down. Her effects, including "a small knife", were strewn along the trail as if she'd tried to fight the coyotes off.
According to the Taylor Mitchell experts, coyotes will attack a moose if they think they have the numbers. They're known to attack deer in Michigan. I'm bigger than most deer, but a lot slower.

I used to think I could strangle a coyote in each hand in the unlikely event I ever needed to, but realistically, two could probably take me pretty easily if one came up behind me. Maybe even one, if it blind-sided me and hit me hard enough in the right place.
If you really want to be realistic, one could probably take me face to face if it had time to pick away at me and I wasn't armed. (Obvious note to self)

And always wear your cowboy hardhat, because a really hungry turkey vulture could hit you from behind in the head or neck when you're facing the sun!

I wish the coyotes would do a better job on the squirrels and chipmunks.

Every October day without rain is a bonus in England, so I've had a fairly good day, despite the market being dead as a doornail  Tool Man was pleased with his book, and with the doughnuts, and we had some good crack. Nobber Al was there, as was Ex-Para Steve, who said he'd woken up at 4.30am, and decided to come down early, after he'd taken the dog for a walk. The long-suffering Perfume Fatties were there, but a few of the other traders had knocked. The Tool Stall regulars are in equally short supply these days, and only Gravel and Harry Hotballs made brief appearances (though I did see Slimline Scott after I left). An occasional visitor is Ken, who was a gaffer at a famous Leeds tank factory, and who walks around in shorts and sandals whatever the weather. When he said he had recently spent 4 nights in hospital, I asked if he'd had frostbite!

Trade was very slow, and I don't think Tool Man had a single sale in the 3 or 4 hours I was there. Wolfie got tied up with work, so I decided to have lunch on my own, going to the West African stall we'd been to last week. I had some Mafe, rice, and plaintain, with a homemade ginger and lime drink, and was given a delicious complimentary pastry, with an onion sauce, and a small cup of lemongrass tea 😋 I picked up some bread, and headed home, calling in the chemist for my flu-jab, and chatting to the young Syrian pharmacist, who has just returned from a month's trip around Europe, which sounded like a great adventure :) I hope everyone is having a good day

You are an adventurous soul when it comes to gastronomic indulgence Jack. 😋

LOL! It's about the only adventure I get these days! :D Unfortunately, my PC has started garishly adjusting the photo colours at the point of saving, which is very annoying 🤨 The food there is very tasty Bob, and I must persuade them to sell me a bottle of their homemade hot sauce 😋
