Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Although I don't think I've drunk PBR in at least 40 years, I found this discussion interesting. Unlike Steve, back when I started drinking beer in the early to mid 1970s, about the only type of beer anyone I knew drank was American lagers, and they all tasted the same to me, with 2 exceptions. I thought I'd be able to identify PBR and Budweiser in blind taste tests, and I LIKED Pabst more than the "standard" lagers, while I didn't care for the different taste of Bud (maybe the rice used in Bud?).
I wonder if Pabst tastes the same today as it did in 1977, when (according to Wikipedia) it was third on the list of most beer sold in the US? I should try some again and see if it tastes familiar. I'm more "sophisticated" about beer ingredients now than I was 50 years ago, and I wonder if what I liked about PBR's taste back then is that it was a little maltier than most other American lagers.
The example I tried didn't seem to taste of much at all Gary, but I had drunk a stronger beer immediately before. Matt went to get us another pint each, and as I had commented that I had never had PBR when we came in, he got us a half-pint each, on the side :)
๐Ÿ˜ Dan is amazing!
There really seems to be no end to his talents :D :)

Jack, it seems like you spend a lot of time trying to deal with dysfunctional aspects of English society! o_O
Yes, unfortunately, my friend  Gives me something to moan about I guess :D
That sound very acceptable to me, Jack; well done!:thumbsup:๐Ÿค“
Thanks Gary :)
This was the first version of "Cotton Fields" I ever heard, and when I was in my teens, this was one of my go-to songs to sing to myself while I was unloading bales of hay from a wagon and sending them up the conveyor to a brother stacking them in the barn. Never raised any cotton on our Michigan dairy farm. ;)
Happy memories :)
Your AC is Absolutely Charming, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:

I always get enthused when I hear your frequent optimistic reminders of impending spring, Jer, but this one seems quite premature (unless you're speaking on behalf of the Southern Hemisphere, or you mean that the corner around which Spring lurks is actually quite a distance away).

That looks like the kind of book that tends to dominate my library loans!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks buddy :) I don't think I had read a crime novel until I was 30 Gary, and then took to them with gusto for a few years, but I always feel guilty if I'm not learning anything from a book (lock-picking and sleuthing aside)! :D I don't know when I acquired this work ethic, I certainly wasn't like that at school! :D
I forgot to post a couple of photos of Cracker Jack, my AC lambsfoot of the week. Here's Cracker Jack with Cracker Jack.

I can remember when you first posted those photos :)
Violet

Kristy had Thursday & Friday this week. Yesterday she wanted to go look at Survivors are Us.
I picked up a heap of books. Can't remember the last time I bought books, usually the library.

It is a charity that helps with those serving domestic violence and any 1 that needs help
Set up in the warehouse district 1 suburb over. They have a second shop, grocery section and meals. Do a lot of good

Sweet pics of Violet, and a charity that sounds worth supporting Mitch :) Libraries have been a big part of my life, but it's been over a decade since I last borrowed a book. Leeds central lending library is impressive, but the branch libraries are mostly not what they were, and few and far between. I am lucky to have two within walking distance, but that is extremely unusual. I buy a lot of books, and dread to think how many I own, even though I often give them away

Good morning Guardians, it's nearly the weekend again, and I hope everyone has had a good week :) I have some work to do today, and over the weekend, but I'm hoping to meet up with Wolfie for a coffee this afternoon, and I'm also going out on Saturday night ;) Pocketing L'Ariete :) Have a good day Guardians

An old pic, but by coincidence, the wine I was drinking last night ;)

A very good cause to support Mitch.

I have transitioned back to physical books from my electronic pad. Just something about the experience.
Yeah the book is what I prefer, never had an electronic reader.

Nothing wrong with a lot of books Jack. I decided years ago to down size my books.
2 in walking distance lucky !
They probably have good wifi access.

Let's not go there.

Funny, I lost the quote about your brother's coyotes.
Some say that after the nuclear holocaust and nuclear winter, there will still be cockroaches and there will still be coyotes.

And I lost the quote about squat thrusts. 18 yesterday, and closer together. I think they're helping posture and sciatica, as well as shopping-cart=pushing muscles.

I got off with an oil change and a tire rotation yesterday.

Highs in the low fifties and lows in the mid thirties this week, but dry for a change. I'll probably keep my jacket on under my red vest at work today.
We have a coat rack at work, but it's stuffed like a mattress, and covid has not erased my memory of bedbugs.

Note to self: ask Ashley if I need to request an exception before I bring in a hall tree to put by my doormat.
And a citronella tiki torch for the Eastern Equine Encephalitis, as an opening gambit.

I have lost a lot of books in the past, but they keep accumulating! :D In fact I purchased one today (I have to remember to pick it up)! :D Yes, I can't think of anywhere else in the city like that. The one up the road is quite nice, and a friend of mine works there, but the whole area has terrible wifi

By next summer, you'll be a seasoned Southerner Bob :) Handsome choice my friend :)

No doubt some rotten politicians hiding under the rubble too!

Well done Jer, good luck with Ashley

Thanks buddy, me and Wolfie snaffled the last sausage roll, and last piece of blackberry crumble, in the cafe in the park, where we had taken his daft dog for a walk, so I got to show off L'Ariete in public :)

Great looking Barlamb !

Morning Guardians! Thunderstorms last night and today. Considerably colder. Lolligaggin is in order today. Stay Frosty ๐Ÿค

Thanks buddy, I had hoped to get a few photos of the park, but after we had finished our coffee, Wolfie's dog, which had behaved bizarrely the entire time, as he always does, flatly refused to walk, and we ended up just going back to the car. I don't know what is wrong there, but that dog is seriously loopy! ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ
Afternoon Guardians !
