My past was dictated by lunacy.![]()
Impressive BobLike you Gary, my students were better than flu shots. As years went on, I suffered less. When I retired, I had 245 sick days acrued to prove it.
Unfortunately Charlie, he's a man who will not be toldSomeday, I hope Toolman starts eating a bunch of veggies for lunch, instead of his usual calorie/fat-laden fare! A good chance he'd live longer and healthier!!![]()
Thank you my friendHeroic knife-on-picture, Jack!!
I should think about doing the same Mike, I do try to give things away, but can't bear chucking stuff out! Some timely posts this morning. I was just thinking that I should get rid of all my camping gear. I haven't been in years and I'm pretty sure I won't ever go again. Sleeping on the ground is a bad idea these days. Heading to town for a dentist appointment in a couple of hours. Y'all have a good one

Thanks DaveThose photos are enough to brighten any day, Jack. This should be a BBC sitcom
It’s going to rain buckets in Dallas for the next 24 hours. Getting my boots and coat ready for some soggy dog walks.

Good morning Guardians, I hope that everyone has made it through the week in good form. I had a rare lie-in this morning, after a good night out with Matt, his wife Ruth, and his son Cillian. It wasn't a cheap one, beer was over £8 a pint in the gig venueI was hoping to have lunch with Wolfie today, but his work schedule has changed. I think I might hunt down some pho
Carrying L'Ariete today
Have a good one Guardians

I'm a little surprised not to be working today, because there's a special surprise for loyalty rewards members, which probably means somebody other than me is standing behind a table handing out toys or pens or some such.
Unless I've got that Friday wrong. Maybe I'll go in and check.

Speaking of work, this tiny ruler/caliper would have come in handy Wednesday. I'm going to start carrying it.
Not for nothing do they call me the quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore.

Very interesting Jer. By coincidence, James Chesterman invented the retractable tape measure. My grandfather's brother worked at the Stanley factory in SheffieldAnd speaking of measuring tools,
I've been reprofiling the point of an old friend, and while I was at it went looking for a tape to take to work. When I'm on the door, there are tapes at the customer service desk, but that's no help when I'm caught on the fly.
The powerlock is the most compact, and I have at least three of them, but the tape is too narrow for reaching very far. The leverlock will probably be my choice, unless I can clean the fossilized linseed oil (don't ask) out of the Lufkin in the vase of rubbing alcohol. That one has twelve feet of a broadish tape in a case between the other two in size.
