I'm afraid I can't get that YouTube link to work JerI won't say it wasn't serious, but I've handled it. Just a treadle out of skew in the windmills of my mind.

I've only just noticed that the picture of Jarrow in 1912 shows a cooling tower for a nuclear power plant.

Looking good Dave
Yes indeed it is!
I once bought my wife some Yaxtrax, but she never gave them much of a trial. I considered getting some for myself, but at the time, I was doing most of my walking to and from bus stops, and worried that the Yaxtrax would be more slippery on the floor of the bus than my "naked" boots were on ice/snow.And in my old eyes!
They seem to have fixed it.
Speaking of boots,

Thanks buddyI turned down some work yesterday, and all being well, I'll be doing the same for the rest of the week
That went on a while didn't it?! I was trying to add hyperlinks to a press release, and it made things very difficult![]()

Agree! Each has nice texture....
Thank you GT! They seem to pair well together.![]()
That's impressively good health, Bob!Like you Gary, my students were better than flu shots. As years went on, I suffered less. When I retired, I had 245 sick days acrued to prove it.
I'll try to remember to provide updates on the water repellency of the boots. It's probably safe to assume that if I report nothing, the boots are performing well, but I'll probably complain here if they're not....
Let us know.

Attractive pics Gary![]()
Thanks for the kind comments on my repetitive photos, Jack & Steve.Nice pics Gary !
Wonderful Brit standing up to the relish Gary. That's impressively good health, Bob!
Did you simply call in sick for over a year before you officially retired, or could you convert the sick days to cash at retirement, or did they just disappear, unused?
My Lambsfoot of the Week for today and the next six days is Union Jack, the rosewood lambsfoot my wife and daughter bought for me in York over 8 years ago. Here are a couple of photos I took when it first arrived home.
