Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I won't say it wasn't serious, but I've handled it. Just a treadle out of skew in the windmills of my mind.

I've only just noticed that the picture of Jarrow in 1912 shows a cooling tower for a nuclear power plant.
I'm afraid I can't get that YouTube link to work Jer :( Rose Beast is a big-looking Big 'Un :)
Wow ! great looking Ironwood 😍
Thanks buddy :)
Enjoy your Sunday everyone. Some gardening and American football on the menu today.

That pic really works Bob, enjoy your day :)

And in my old eyes!

They seem to have fixed it.

Speaking of boots,

Yaxtrax. I love 'em.
I once bought my wife some Yaxtrax, but she never gave them much of a trial. I considered getting some for myself, but at the time, I was doing most of my walking to and from bus stops, and worried that the Yaxtrax would be more slippery on the floor of the bus than my "naked" boots were on ice/snow. o_O

Definitely! :D

Thanks Gary :D Great post :)

Thanks buddy :D I turned down some work yesterday, and all being well, I'll be doing the same for the rest of the week

That went on a while didn't it?! I was trying to add hyperlinks to a press release, and it made things very difficult
...
Thanks for the replies, Jack. :) The CloudFlare problem was quite annoying for me that one morning, but when I returned to the computer in the evening, everything seemed A-OK.:cool:

...

Thank you GT! They seem to pair well together. :)
Agree! Each has nice texture.:thumbsup::cool:

Like you Gary, my students were better than flu shots. As years went on, I suffered less. When I retired, I had 245 sick days acrued to prove it.
That's impressively good health, Bob!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Did you simply call in sick for over a year before you officially retired, or could you convert the sick days to cash at retirement, or did they just disappear, unused?

...
Let us know.

I'll try to remember to provide updates on the water repellency of the boots. It's probably safe to assume that if I report nothing, the boots are performing well, but I'll probably complain here if they're not.

Attractive pics Gary
Nice pics Gary !
Thanks for the kind comments on my repetitive photos, Jack & Steve. :)

My Lambsfoot of the Week for today and the next six days is Union Jack, the rosewood lambsfoot my wife and daughter bought for me in York over 8 years ago. Here are a couple of photos I took when it first arrived home.

Wonderful Brit standing up to the relish Gary.

As to my sick days, I was given a cash reimbursement.
The year before, the retiring teachers were given their previous years salary over 3 years, if they had 200 unused sick days.

Like you I had over 200 sick days accumulated. They were added to my years worked for purposes of calculating my pension. I was happy to have not needed them 🙂

Funny. It worked for me clicking on it in your quote.
Graham Chapman comes in to report trouble at mill: one of the crossbeams is out of scew on the treadle. She asks him what that means, and he says he wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition.

You may think you've seen this pic before, but my recollection is that I had two very similar, and I saved the extra for future use, or deleted something else by mistake.

Some days I probably wouldn't have noticed Gary, but it was a day when I was having to visit a lot of sites, about half of which were unavailable :(

I haven't been over to York for a while, but at this time of year it gets packed, so I'll probably leave it until the new year now
Caught while I was watching the sun rise Jack.

You continue to make me salivate Jack.
Very nice grain pattern on your Sunday lamb.
Thank you very much my friend :)

That's strange Jer, I remember watching that sketch for the first time when I was about 11 :D

Its been overcast and dreary here all day, but I've been watching the KC football game and the sun is shining with blue skies 140 miles to the west. By the time it gets here, if it gets here at all, it'll be dark 🤪
Happy Sunday y'all wave.gif

Those sort of results are no good for anyone. The only way to hone your skills and " Learn Ring Craft " is spending time in the ring. You can spar all you like, but doesn't compare to actually being in a contest, and you will get found out when you come up against a decent opponent.
