Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I did think they all occurred in the same episode, but would have accepted being told otherwise :D

I really don't get around like I used to I'm afraid, only really visiting other towns now if I have a need to, but it's something I should try to change. Been a busy couple of years

I really don't know why British TV designs took so long to catch up, maybe they were still built here back in the 60's. We didn't have colour TVs until about 1970, and the first black and white ones I remember had small, thick screens, clunky channel knobs, 2 channels, and terrible reception! Also they tended to come in a cabinet, so you could hide them away like something indecent :D Also, most folks rented them, rather than buying them. The first TV we had as a kid, took a sixpence in a slot in the back, which bought you a period of viewing! 🤣

LOL! :D Good pic of Rose Beast Jer

I'm sure there weren't many of those Gary :D Thank you for the kind words :)

Still some good mileage my friend :)

By chance, on my way to the market yesterday, I bumped into a friend who said he hadn't been on a bus for years. Bus designs had changed quite a bit since he last rode one. I'm not sure if the look on his face was one of amazement or shock! :D

Great to see you here buddy, I hope things get easier soon, and that you had a great Thanksgiving

It was great to see them Barrett :)

LOL! :D Sounds good to me pal :)

I love seeing that knife Barrett, the two of you did a great job, always makes me smile :)

Smart move :D

Cool pic Jer :)

Great to see you here Pete, hope you're doing well buddy :)

Looking good Mitch :)
We only had 2 channels when I was young, big old clunky TV did have a little portable in black and white no remotes in sight anywhere
We thought it was very flash when the Aunty got a beta max video player and we all wnt over to watch movies.😮

Thanks Jack
Have a good day.

I remember all my uncles bringing beer round to watch the FA Cup Final on our new colour TV in 1971! :D None of us had ever seen a TV with a 21" screen before! 🤣 👍

It looks like snow-blower grade snow out there. I'm going to spray the machine with Lysol first. I don't want to know the composition of that woodchuck dust. I did wipe down the handles before I dragged it out.

Good morning Guardians, I'm going out with friends tonight, but I have quite a lot to do before then, so I better get to it ;) I hope everyone has a great day :) I'm carrying another of the 3 Lambs that @jsdistin re-built and re-covered (he did 6 altogether). He did a great job of them :) The covers on this one are African Blackwood

Yeah! 😁 Reckon you're right about the wet clay 👍

Nice pic of OTW my industrious friend 👍

Many thanks Bob 🙂👍
I see the birth of color television was in London in 1928. My, how they have come a long way.
I never realised that Bob, I always figured they must have been an American invention. Wonder why it took 40 years for them to start mass-production here! 🤷‍♂️
I always had the task of running to the hardware store for replacement tubes, early on.
Blimey, did that happen often Bob?

Not too often.
My hifi system has them and are quoted as lasting thousands of hours. I am using tubes from the 1950's. They just sound better than New one's.

Very interesting Bob, I think I remember a discussion about the hifi tubes here before - went way over my head! 😂 My light bulbs are supposed 20 years, strange how often I have to change them though! 🤔

Astonishing generosity 🙂👍
Thanks Jack! It was fun to pop in and see some great knives and you guys. Last night we got to gather with Greg and his family. I hope your keeping well. 😎👍🏻👍🏻
That's nice Pete, I hope Greg is doing well 🙂👍

Today started out sunny, and fairly mild, in line with the forecast. I got coffee and a raspberry croissant in a chain place in town, then set off to get a haircut, but the barbers' shop was packed. I thought I'd get an early lunch, and called in a cafe-bar I used to go in a decade back. I ordered the Yorkshire pudding, sausages, and gravy, which was overpriced, and pretty abysmal. I was just about to leave, when I noticed it was absolutely pouring it down outside, so I decided to have another coffee. It was still raining 20 minutes later though, so I ducked into an arts and crafts shop, had a look round, and picked up a pack of Field Notes. The rain continued to fall heavily, so I called in a small supermarket, and tried to find groceries I needed. I paid for a few items, but seeing how heavily it was raining, I went round again! It was only marginally better after my second round, so I thought I'd see if the queue in the barbers had improved. It hadn't, I guess a few folks had gone in there out of the rain too. At least the unexpected downpour had lightened up a little, so I headed home, carrying more shopping than I had intended to buy. Hoping to squeeze in a nap this afternoon ;)
