Mornin Guardians! Unseasonably warm today. Hope y'all have a one!

Interesting IXL David, nice pic :)
Rosecraft puts truly excellent points on their knives. Barely touch it to the plastic and it pierces and slices 👍
The last package from my Black Friday/Cyber Monday sending spree 💸
Sunny and around 30F with a steady breeze blowing so it feels a little colder. Nothing going on today except maybe cleaning house and doing an online seminar.

Looking good Mike, I hope your day went well :)
Thanks Jack
Lilly is on the mend. A nurse dropped off a shoulder wrap yesterday morning. Wraps around the shoulder connected to a pump and circulates chilled water through. Lilly's liking that.
It was delicious chicken plenty left over ended up just being the 2 of us.
That's great news Mitch :)
Gee Jack high expectations.
He's got the right door knocked and not thrown it from 5ft away............That’s a win🤣🤣🤣
🤣 👍
Jack, have you ever known of anyone to have a Carb Coma and just fall out after eating a chip buttey? At my age I'd have to be in a hammock to safely eat one of those!

Not at all Jeff, chip butties are considered to be an important part of any training schedule here :D Alf Tupper, one of Britain's most longstanding athletes, famously lived on them, and Wolfie was boxing later, British rock-climbers used to live on them! 😂👍

Very handsome :)

Evening all

Great pics Mitch :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. The kids have finished skool here, so lots of parents are going to be busy. Wolfie's youngest plays for a small local football club called Shadwell United, (which comically, considering Shadwell is a very posh village, almost shares its name with the club in a football hooligan film from the early 1990's - ID - starring Gary Oldman), and he's having a few pints in town with some of the dads. I may join them for a couple, or I might just get on with some stuff at home, as town is sure to be busy, and I have plenty to do. And you never know, it could get messy! 🤣

Sounds like your weekend is starting well Jack. Very nice Albers.

If I don't keep that song in my heart, I get the dogs howling.😃

Blimey! That's a nice one Bob, the form reminds me of this one from about a decade ago. I actually prefer the Pile side, though I barely have a pic of it

That high of 24 yesterday never got above 15 until after dark, and the snow that would end around 11:00 a.m. kept having the prediction pushed back an hour or two at a time, yet the church service wasn't cancelled. At least it ended on time.

Hmmm...the weather forecasts are no more accurate here Jer, I can remember when they'd bring some old Yorkshireman on the TV, and he'd give you a prediction for the whole year, based on some walnuts and the state of his bunions 🤷‍♂️ Not saying he was always RIGHT, but he certainly wasn't any WORSE!

Nice pic of your Ebony '18

This was an unusually bad one, but I still have faith in today's high of 38.

I hope my oatmeal won't be too interesting today. I let too much water boil away before adding the oats, then I let them almost dry out before adding more hot water from the kettle.

When I was young, most people used to give a small cash gratuity to the postman at Christmas, along with the milkman, coalman, paper lad, window-cleaner, and all those other largely redundant trades. I usually slip the posties a tenner each, and tip the bin-men if I can catch them, and today I'd put some cash in my pocket for when my mail came. I was just wrapping up some presents when my door-bell rang. It was a young lady who has been 'guesting' recently, possibly just for Christmas, so taking the package she had for me, I discreetly proffered a note, asking if I could buy her a coffee. Perhaps she misheard me, or maybe I'm the last to maintain the tradition, but she apologised, telling me she was afraid she didn't have time this time. She seemed pleased with the cash when the penny dropped anyway  :D

Good Saturday morning, Guardians! Beautiful Albers, Jack. I’m not going to cast a vote in the scotch v bourbon debate but I will say the Balvenie Caribbean Cask finished is one tasty whisky. It is definitely an interesting scotch with more of a mellow caramel flavor but the scotch shines through nicely. The fellow who gave it to me as a gift told the liquor salesman that I’m a bourbon fan and he recommended that bottle. It’s a lovely sipper with a few droplets of water added. Despite the Saturday stag trend, I’m carrying the Bayou Trapper lamb again today.IMG_4758.jpegIMG_4750.jpeg
