Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Evening all

Another nice picture Mitch !
Interesting IXL David, nice pic :)

Looking good Mike, I hope your day went well :)

That's great news Mitch :)

🤣 👍

Not at all Jeff, chip butties are considered to be an important part of any training schedule here :D Alf Tupper, one of Britain's most longstanding athletes, famously lived on them, and Wolfie was boxing later, British rock-climbers used to live on them! 😂👍

Very handsome :)

Great pics Mitch :)

Thanks Jack
Good morning Guardians, I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. The kids have finished skool here, so lots of parents are going to be busy. Wolfie's youngest plays for a small local football club called Shadwell United, (which comically, considering Shadwell is a very posh village, almost shares its name with the club in a football hooligan film from the early 1990's - ID - starring Gary Oldman), and he's having a few pints in town with some of the dads. I may join them for a couple, or I might just get on with some stuff at home, as town is sure to be busy, and I have plenty to do. And you never know, it could get messy! 🤣

Lovely burl 👍

Some antler today.
A gent was just caught bagging 4 dear this past month out of season.
I believe he may be paying a fine up to $1000 per deer.

Cracking pic Steve! 😎👍
Good Saturday morning, Guardians! Beautiful Albers, Jack. I’m not going to cast a vote in the scotch v bourbon debate but I will say the Balvenie Caribbean Cask finished is one tasty whisky. It is definitely an interesting scotch with more of a mellow caramel flavor but the scotch shines through nicely. The fellow who gave it to me as a gift told the liquor salesman that I’m a bourbon fan and he recommended that bottle. It’s a lovely sipper with a few droplets of water added. Despite the Saturday stag trend, I’m carrying the Bayou Trapper lamb again today.View attachment 3055348View attachment 3055349
Glad you're enjoying it Dave, thoughtful gift 😎 A very handsome knife too 🙂👍

Good morning Guardians. The weekend is starting off very nicely. Weather is pleasant here in coastal souther NC. Gonna carry my Senator today for a change. I was inspired by the photo by SteveC above with his HHB.

Howdy Guardians

Did a little house cleaning today and a couple of seminars. As a licensed Professional Engineer, I have to get 30 hours of training every 2 years. Continuing education they call it. Its due by the end of the year. I usually get all my training well in advance, but dealing this year with health issues I blew it off and ultimately decided to let my license go. I'm retired and I'm not going to use it again. I recently turned down a little side job. I liked the guy, but told him I had my own issues to deal with. I did recommend him to another excellent engineer I know. So, I don't need my license. But I worked so damn hard to get it. And I kind of take pride in being a licensed P.E. At the start of December I had 2.75 hours
Then I decided screw it, I'm keeping it another 2 years, so I've been furiously doing online seminars. After today I'm at 27 hours. I should get the other three hours tomorrow, then I'll renew my license
I will admit that I found the courses pretty interesting 🤓

Now its time for scotch 😃

I haven't posted in this thread for a week, but at least I've kept up with reading everyone else's posts, many of which I find very interesting. I'll at least post the lambsfoot I've been carrying all week, an oriental Schrade 19OT that I named LambShark:

Yesterday{saturday] was an odd busy day. Kristy was off but our Lorna was going to her friends christmas at her besty's. They were all making dishes but lorna needed Mums help to make it some pasta pesto salad. i lost interest didn't appeal  For some rerason Lorna had committed to bring the folding tables but doesn't have any:rolleyes: I gave her a couple earlier in the week but she was worried that was still not enough. So I had to offer up my BBQ table, so I went and cleaned it while they cooked. while they were cooking Kristy's sister rang to say they were getting slammed. So once Lorna was finished and left Kristy had to go to work & I got kitchen clean up. When she got back had to do some Christmas shopping. oh yeah and get my prescription, i get in trouble as I get a 30 or 60 day supply and I always leave it till the last couple of days.
Part of Christmas presents Kristy is cooking Anzac biscuits, so I started at the supermarket with a list, while Kristy went looking for gift boxes.
Did stop after 4 and shared a plate of chips.

The patient Lilly requested a slushy from 1 of the burger joints on the way home.
We didn't get home till near 5.45. i ended up just having crumpets for dinner.. At least it was only a 94f day instead of the 100+ today.

Sounds like you're super busy Mitch :) Anzac biscuits sound delicious, I can't remember if I've ever had one, but they do sound familiar, maybe when I was a kid

Good morning Guardians, late start for me, as I had a very late night down at Matt's, watching movies and drinking beer. It's a busy time, and I'm worn out! I better get myself together though, as I have a lunch date, and then meeting more friends later. I hope you have a great Sunday Guardians

I thought you'd given me the idea that will make me rich, the hammock-mobile, but I think someone has already put motorized wheels on a recliner-chair.

My coffee maker seems to have died in its sleep. Luckily, I have two more 12-cuppers. The Chinese Mueller of Austria came through for me.

Thanks buddy 👍
I'm not sure they are. There are hammer marks but maybe polishing smoothed them a bit.
