May we all get to enjoy some today!Merry lollygagging Christmas
I'm lying on my sofa listening to some music, and if it wasn't for the fact I can't bear to waste food, I'd be tempted to skip my Christmas dinner, and put a pizza in the oven!May we all get to enjoy some today!
I hope it's a classic case of "opposites attract", Jack!I went to town for a few things, calling in at Charlie's on the way. I bought some hugely reduced xmas baubles in a photographic shop last January, and only just got round to taking a pic, so I had to go back to get it printed and installed. Bonus Xmas gifts for Wolfie and Matt!Another customer in the shop was hugely enthusiastic about them, and petitioning for me to do a 365 day photo calendar next year!
Yes, I do tend to attract mad women!

I brought a host of favorite knives with me on this trip, as I plan to oil the joints and do some sharpening.
Since it’s not unusual to see an alligator in the bayou and lake behind Granny’s house, of course I brought the “Gator Gutter”

That's the sort of job I'd work on for a week, and then call a professional. Thanks buddy, all's well now. I had a couple of plumbing issues to deal with and had to install a new garbage disposal unit under my sink.
Quality quartet of WCLFs, Harry! It is about to get very hectic and busy at our house so I will just wish you all a Very Merry Christmas now my friends . I will be carrying the one on the Left .

Same to you and all the other Guardians, Mitch!
The suspense is killing me!
I enjoyed the illustrated history, Jack! They may have had it made to promote their business, or to gift to reps, etc. More likely though is that someone thought it was a good name to use to sell knives. Burgon & Ball is a well-known name, particularly in Australia and New Zealand, where they were famous for their sheep shears (you can see these being made in videos online). For this reason, their name is regularly used on products, such as pocket knives and secateurs, sold in garden centres and hardware stores. The firm, and their old factory, still exist, but are more of a marketing outfit these days. Your knife could have been made by any number of Sheffield cutlery firms, a wild guess would be Howarth's

What kind of tree is the knife on in your pic? I'm trying to learn to recognize at least a few types of trees by their bark, but my progress is slow.

The Burgon & Ball knives i have purchased in the past have been to put it bluntly Rubbish. The one that Mitch posted looks to be of far superior quality.the Burgon & Ball mark look to be of better quality than some of the ones I've seen in the past
Close brother It was Bob with the new burgon. The Burgon & Ball knives i have purchased in the past have been to put it bluntly Rubbish. The one that Mitch posted looks to be of far superior quality.

And a great looking breakfast it was.We had Christmas breakfast outside yesterday.
Is that an air - rifle. ???Merry Christmas, Guardians!
We’re back home in Arkansas for the Christmas. This week has been a bit frantic (for a variety of reasons), but overall we’ve had a good time. Sorry I haven’t stopped in here more. On the plus side, it was 75°F here today, which, while not particularly Christmasy, has been quite nice. I hope all of y’all have had a wonderful holiday!
