Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Merry Christmas, Guardians! 🎄

We’re back home in Arkansas for the Christmas. This week has been a bit frantic (for a variety of reasons), but overall we’ve had a good time. Sorry I haven’t stopped in here more. On the plus side, it was 75°F here today, which, while not particularly Christmasy, has been quite nice. I hope all of y’all have had a wonderful holiday!

I see the compass in the stock, but does it have a thing that tells time?

Well, this was a good Christmas - I hope so for all of the Guardians as well. Over the last month we had a cancer scare for Dawn, and just got confirmation a few days ago that it is NOT cancer, which is a huge relief. (Most likely candidate now is an autoimmune issue, but in this case that is orders of magnitude better than cancer.) We didn't expect to know until after Christmas, so it was a fantastic gift to know sooner.

Here's the HHB posing with the turkey right before I stuck it in the oven. I threw a few extra pieces of bacon over the top of my beautifully woven bacon wrap, which makes it far less photogenic, but still tasted great.

Once again I forgot to take a pic of the bird after it came out of the oven, but it was delicious! Hope you and your families all have a great night (and for those enough ahead of me, I hope St. Stephen's Day is starting strong!).

Great news! 🥳
Autoimmune can still be nasty. Best wishes 🙏🤞

Is that an air - rifle. ???

It is.

It does, indeed. 😁 Here’s the uncropped version of the pic I posted earlier.

I’ve done a bacon wrapped turkey breast before, but not a whole bird. Bet it turned out great!
