Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Merry Christmas, Guardians! 🎄

We’re back home in Arkansas for the Christmas. This week has been a bit frantic (for a variety of reasons), but overall we’ve had a good time. Sorry I haven’t stopped in here more. On the plus side, it was 75°F here today, which, while not particularly Christmasy, has been quite nice. I hope all of y’all have had a wonderful holiday!

I see the compass in the stock, but does it have a thing that tells time?

Well, this was a good Christmas - I hope so for all of the Guardians as well. Over the last month we had a cancer scare for Dawn, and just got confirmation a few days ago that it is NOT cancer, which is a huge relief. (Most likely candidate now is an autoimmune issue, but in this case that is orders of magnitude better than cancer.) We didn't expect to know until after Christmas, so it was a fantastic gift to know sooner.

Here's the HHB posing with the turkey right before I stuck it in the oven. I threw a few extra pieces of bacon over the top of my beautifully woven bacon wrap, which makes it far less photogenic, but still tasted great.

Once again I forgot to take a pic of the bird after it came out of the oven, but it was delicious! Hope you and your families all have a great night (and for those enough ahead of me, I hope St. Stephen's Day is starting strong!).

Great news! 🥳
Autoimmune can still be nasty. Best wishes 🙏🤞

Is that an air - rifle. ???

It is.

It does, indeed. 😁 Here’s the uncropped version of the pic I posted earlier.

I’ve done a bacon wrapped turkey breast before, but not a whole bird. Bet it turned out great!

Hope you had a great time with your brother Steve, that is a fantastic pic :)
Thanks Gary, it's an ash tree which is now endangered by the Emrald ash borer.
Very sorry to hear that, we've lost millions of ash trees here to ash dieback disease in recent years :(
The Burgon & Ball knives i have purchased in the past have been to put it bluntly Rubbish. The one that Mitch posted looks to be of far superior quality.
Good to hear your experience Leon, poor as it is :(
Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all have a good one. Heading over to my daughter's in a couple of hours for supper and time with the grandkids.

Undoubtedly! :D Great pics from the past Gary
Morning all,
We had Christmas breakfast outside yesterday.

Yep Lorna wanted her knife photographed 😆
Wow, fantastic Mitch, what a great start to the day! 😋👍
Old Toffee Wings helped me eat a piece of curious apple dessert that fell apart when lifted.

I'd decided against bringing my mess tray to the potluck, and forgot to bring my Swedish Army nesting flatware anyway.
And I didn't have a plastic fork yet because I started on the dessert table while others were crowding the mains table, where the plastic utensils were.
Sounds like fun Jer

Very cool Barrett :)

Good morning Guardians, it sounds like everyone has had a great Christmas, and while the big day is over for another year, I'm sure there's still food to eaten, presents to be given, and visits to be made to friends and relatives. That's certainly the case here, where I still have an over-stuffed fridge, and a bunch of presents to give. I'll give Wolfie a call in a bit, and see what he's up to, and I'm headed down to Matt's this evening. Have a good day everyone

Thanks buddy, I sure did 👍

Same here Jack, there is a treament but it's not 100% effective. I have five large ash trees that shade my house and they have been treated and are surviving so far. We have lost quite a few in our neighborhood and thousands in our city.

Looking good Jer 👍

That's really sad Steve :( I hope the trees in your garden make it 👍
