Just having my first coffee on Saturday morning. Hope everyone had a great Christmas with family and friends. From all the posts looks like everyone did. I had a new culinary experience for lunch on Christmas day, and i loved it. Roast Goose, it was just so good. 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 🤠.

I haven't had it for years, but goose is the best bird I've had for Christmas dinner Leon :) My former brother-in-law cooked it one year, and I remember the bird being bigger than my 15 month old daughter! 🤣 Good-looking oak :)
Taylor's Eye Witness Lamb, with synthetic handles!! I had it out to cut chestnuts for roasting - works perfectly!!View attachment 3059778View attachment 3059779

Oh the camel!!! My 8 yr old grandson bought it with his pennies for Grampa, for Christmas, at a school fundraiser! His Mom quoted him,

"Grampa will love it!!"😲 Such a smart and generous kid!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!
Great knife for the job Charlie :) I love your camel, what a thoughtful lad :)
Charlie, I did some practical cutting with a lamb you may recognize yesterday. Shallot prep two ways: latitudinal for braised green beans and longitudinal for roasting with peppers. View attachment 3059914View attachment 3059915
Great cutting!
Cheers Dave :)
JB lamb

The kids gave money towards a new lap top for Christmas. I was using an inherited 1 from Lilly it died, so I've been using Kristy's work 1.
So I did some research Christmas night & boxing day morning. Well I found a Chromebook I liked at electronics retailer on sale for boxing day. The retailer has 4 outlets literally 15 minutes drive from us. So Kristy and I had a boxing day adventure.
At the store the young fella tried to tell me they had none in stock and sell me something I didn't want, till I showed him on the website and he put the code in his hand held reader, whole attitude changed.

Kristy and I had lunch out & I even got an Oliver brown coffee, same as my local that closed

P.S
Kristy made me a little container of those good Anzac biscuits, well the kids cleaned me out. I got none.....
Congratulations Mitch, I was just admiring how spotlessly clean your keyboard was! 🤣 Bad news on the biscuits though
A late “Merry Christmas” to everyone. I’ve been off work for a few days but have been so busy with the holidays and spending time with family I’ve not had time to do anything else. My kids sure are spoiled, in the best possible way, and I’m trying not to lose my mind tripping over new toys every few minutes 😅

Looks like everyone did, but I hope you all had a good time.

Glad you had a good one too Hoff :) Cool pic of your GL-24

Good morning Guardians, it feels kind of strange for a Saturday here! :D I went down to Matt's last night, with presents for everyone. THey were all particularly impressed with their new Christmas tree bauble! 🤣 We had a couple of beers, and then me and Matt went out to the event we were attending at a local community centre. It was advertised to start at 10pm, which seemed late, and by the time we got there it was 11. When we walked in there was no sign of anyone, just a load of balloons waiting to be put up. In the main room, there were 3 people, who looked like they'd just started decorating, and the bar was closed. We went to the other bar, and that was closed too, and there was nobody else in the building! What a joke! No great loss anyway, we went back to Matt's and had a bottle of wine :D Not sure what I'm going to do today, I don't really feel like doing much ;) Waboom in my pocket :) Have a good day Guardians :)

😆 yeah the keyboard won't be that clean for to long. I forgot to add the closest 1 was 50 minutes drive up the freeway hence the adventure.
I'm used to the kids claiming my food. Better chance to try and stop the rising or setting of the sun.😉
Have a great day.

I hope the staff had a party after all guests had given up.

The stockings were $4 each at Lowe's. No returns on clearance items, but the white one was a mistake. I'm not working today, but I left my umbrella in the break room again, so I'll see if they have another red sock, and have a look at any remaining Christmas tree skirts. They're not something I ever bothered about, but hiding the skeletal base of the artificial tree might not be a bad idea if it's cheap enough.
