Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Nice pic Mitch and Happy Birthday to your mum !

Good morning Guardians, it's raining heavily here today, again, and have a load of things I need to go into town for, so it's not going to be a lot of fun :( Looking forward to the weekend, but I have a punishing week coming up next week, with a lot of travelling and long days 😭 Have a good Friday Guardians

Too bad about your foul weather, I hope you can have a relaxing weekend to recharge the batteries 👍

This Rogers just found it's way into the flock. Time for a honing.View attachment 3097589

Congrats on your new addition to the flock !

A high above freezing today! 🤞 There's a winter weather advisory in the meantime, but it doesn't look very bad.🤞

It got up to 38° here yesterday and stayed at that temp overnight. It's supposed to cool down a bit today and windy. The long range forecast is looking like it's going to be a pretty mild February here.

Well you’re going to busy 🤔 remember eat & coffee!

Tomorrow, Saturday. We have mum’s 80th birthday lunch will be spit roast.
Thanks mate, eating can be a problem as I eat early for the sake of my stomach - which is why I have a little wine too - A Pinot Noir from Adelaide last night ;) :D

I hope your mum has a very happy birthday Mitch, and that she enjoys lunch :)

Great to see the best of the ACs!

It was rotten out, but I managed to get most of my missions done, including getting a haircut, and having some lunch at the West African place in the market 😋

Just having a tea-break before getting on with some work 🙄

Hello Folks , as this long running thread is new to me , I thought I would contribute to my new found interest in the traditional English Lambsfoot knife . I have owned and used and had an interest in all types of knives for 60 years now , probably owning my first pen knife around 1965 ! Now dont ask me why but it is only quite recently that my knife interest has been taken up with the Lambsfoot and why Ive never considered buying one before now I have no explanation . What I do know is that since Ive found this thread my interest is growing . Quite recently I came across a Lambsfoot in an old toolbox in my garage and have absolutely no idea how it got there ! I would imagine is just a run of the mill imitation stag scales model made in Sheffield but after cleaning it up its a great little sharp blade with excellent walk and talk. Brass bolster and liners , this is all I can contribute untill I buy myself a half decent one .

As an extension to my above post regarding my interest in the traditional Lambsfoot knife , could any of the Guardians here kindly point me in the direction of where in the UK to buy a half decent model , ideally with wood or horn / stag scales , brass liners / bolster and more to the point one with a decent fit and finish and is reliable ? Dont really want to be spending more than £70 ? Thanks in anticipation .
