Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Anyone remember this classic. In college, it was a $1 a bottle. Guaranteed to give you a hangover.

Yup remember that crap from high school.
Nice horn 👍
I hope everyone is having a good day :) The rain has been on and off here all day, but it's been consistently cold. I picked up some cake from Our Cake Man on my way through the market, and then, as Gravel was there, went and got us coffee. Tool Man and Boring Ray stuck to tea, as they don't drink coffee, and by the the time I returned with the drinks, they were already tucking into a pork pie. I cut the cake, with Big Rose, and me and Gravel had a piece. Gravel stayed for an hour or so, but was complaining about the cold. Harry Hot Balls passed by, and a couple of the other reprobates who call in occasionally. Nobber Al was AWOL for the 5th week in a row, and suspicion is that he has jacked in his stall. Golden Gordon and Robert The Badge are now back though. Gordon walked up to ask me to identify a couple of knives he had, and after I went back to his stall, and asked about a compass he had, he kindly gave it to me, so that'll do for Wolfie's youngest. Just before lunchtime, Big Dave and Slimline Scott turned up within a few minutes of each other. Having been there for about 3 hours, I decided to get some lunch, and had a curry on my way home. Ray had a couple of decent sales before I left, but after 4 hour's trading, Tool Man had only taken £2, which didn't seem to particularly concern him, having got used to the way things are on the market now (and now receiving both his Council pension, (as a former employee), and State pension, (as an old git!)) I think I might be able to squeeze in a nap ;)

Thanks for the market report. Big Rose 🌹 looking 👍

Thanks for the market report, Big Rose is looking good ! 😍👍
Thanks Steve :)
Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well and having a good week! I thought some of you might be interested in a Lambsfoot I recently aquired, for comparison I included in the pictures a Thomas Turner Lamb that has been in my collection for 6 or 7 years.

I always thought the flush joint on Lambsfoot foot knives was a standard size. I have several 4" and 3 1/2" examples with all sharing the same size bolsters. This 3 1/2" Lamb proved me wrong. It has a tiny bolster, thinner and shorter than the normal size, the blade stock is the same thickness, but the smaller bolster allows for an overall thinner knife. The best I can make of the tang stamp is "English Cutlery".

Two very worthwhile acquisitions Rob, and in fine condition. Beautiful  That's interesting about the bolsters, but Sheffield cutlers were never known for the uniformity I don't think, then or now ;) Great to see them together :)
Good morning Guardians !

We're back to winter here. We got about eight inches of snow.

Albert Oates today

That didn't arrive here until the early 90's Jer 🤮 I remember going into a pub in 1994, and seeing all the coloured bottles, and thinking 'What a $&!£hole!" :D Nice pic of Rose Beast :)
Surviving 2020 was a challenge! :D
I have my new RC lamb with me today. I really like the smaller size, it fits perfectly in my watch pocket.

Adorable pup! Thanks for the snow pics. We don't get much snow here and I'm enjoying seeing it without having to shovel it. :)
Thanks Pat !

In the northern part of the state they got 33 inches of snow 😯

Thanks for the Market Report Jack. It’s always amusing to read. Bob I remember malt liquor beer was popular. For an unknown reason I remember Miller Malt in a red can. I must of drank those. That MD 20/20 resulted in a rainbow of upchuck. Good times…

It has been raining here a lot. Here’s a fancy pants K’roo.

That sure is fancy Kurt! 😎👍

Thanks buddy. Malt Liquor - Colt 45 and Breaker - was briefly fashionable here when I was in my early teens. All canned beers were poor here then, but I remember them as being particularly insipid 😁 I never tasted 20/20, or any of the later 'alcopops', as they're known here, but I do remember Thunderbird 😁👍
