Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is in good form, and getting on with your week. I haven't checked the weather forecast yet here, but I can see it's raining outside, which inevitably reduces numbers in the market  We'll see what reprobates turn up ;) Big Rose has already been in use, slicing a banana for my muesli. Tool Man will be horrified! :D Have a good day Guardians

I hope everyone is having a good day :) The rain has been on and off here all day, but it's been consistently cold. I picked up some cake from Our Cake Man on my way through the market, and then, as Gravel was there, went and got us coffee. Tool Man and Boring Ray stuck to tea, as they don't drink coffee, and by the the time I returned with the drinks, they were already tucking into a pork pie. I cut the cake, with Big Rose, and me and Gravel had a piece. Gravel stayed for an hour or so, but was complaining about the cold. Harry Hot Balls passed by, and a couple of the other reprobates who call in occasionally. Nobber Al was AWOL for the 5th week in a row, and suspicion is that he has jacked in his stall. Golden Gordon and Robert The Badge are now back though. Gordon walked up to ask me to identify a couple of knives he had, and after I went back to his stall, and asked about a compass he had, he kindly gave it to me, so that'll do for Wolfie's youngest. Just before lunchtime, Big Dave and Slimline Scott turned up within a few minutes of each other. Having been there for about 3 hours, I decided to get some lunch, and had a curry on my way home. Ray had a couple of decent sales before I left, but after 4 hour's trading, Tool Man had only taken £2, which didn't seem to particularly concern him, having got used to the way things are on the market now (and now receiving both his Council pension, (as a former employee), and State pension, (as an old git!)) I think I might be able to squeeze in a nap ;)

I'm sure big Rose was up to the task.
Nice to see some of the gents showing up for the cause Jack. Or we're they just hungry?😃

Anyone remember this classic. In college, it was a $1 a bottle. Guaranteed to give you a hangover.

I think every country has at least one beverage like that Bob, and every generation! :D Tool Man was waxing lyrical about his favourite drink today, ( You'll be unsurprised to learn that his palate is no more sophisticated than anything else about him!), as he regularly does. I was surprised to learn that the strong lager, commonly referenced as 'tramp juice', among other things, here, was actually first brewed for Winston Churchill! The thrifty Danes clearly didn't want to foot his Pol Roger bill  :D ;)
Lovely to see that unique Lamb Bob :)

She's a very able cake cutter Bob! :D I spotted Tool Man purloining some of Harry Hotballs' potato bhajs, so I don't think he'll get fat(ter) on Tool Man's account! :D Gravel, whose wallet has born the brunt of Tool Man's greed for months, if not years, cunningly fetched some olives to snack on, which Tool Man observed with absolute horror! 😂

It got above 60 yesterday, and sunny, so I washed the car.
As usual, I reduced the salt, but left a film.

Nice pic Jer, we're back to second winter here.

Thanks for the market report, Big Rose is looking good ! 😍👍

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is well and having a good week! I thought some of you might be interested in a Lambsfoot I recently aquired, for comparison I included in the pictures a Thomas Turner Lamb that has been in my collection for 6 or 7 years.

I always thought the flush joint on Lambsfoot foot knives was a standard size. I have several 4" and 3 1/2" examples with all sharing the same size bolsters. This 3 1/2" Lamb proved me wrong. It has a tiny bolster, thinner and shorter than the normal size, the blade stock is the same thickness, but the smaller bolster allows for an overall thinner knife. The best I can make of the tang stamp is "English Cutlery".

Thanks Steve. I hope Mother Nature is getting tired of dropping snow on you.

Afternoon Guardians! Happy Pancake Day 👍

I can't believe I missed Pancake Day! I like those new lambs I keep seeing. 👍

First night shift at the start of the busy season. It’s not very busy now though. It’s been over 50 degrees here for like 4 days in a row!!!! I can’t get too happy as winter will undoubtedly show up soon. It is nice to see the ground though.

Has anybody watched the series “Slow Horses” on Apple TV? MI5 based show and it’s pretty good. On season 2 and the show has me in binge mode.

Carrying the Cosimo tonight.

I was surprised how much I like Slow Horses, Paul. I just finished the first season and getting ready for #2. I found it after watching "The Night Manager" and wanted more spy thrillers.

We're back to winter here. We got about eight inches of snow.

Have a great day everyone !
Adorable pup! Thanks for the snow pics. We don't get much snow here and I'm enjoying seeing it without having to shovel it. :)

I have my new RC lamb with me today. I really like the smaller size, it fits perfectly in my watch pocket.
