Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Happy Friday Guardians.
I'm driving my Jeep to work today, that's always fun. I don't drive it very often because I like to save it for the trails and make it last. It's 3 years old and only has 18,000 miles on it

The Lambsfoot will come along for the ride but will have to remain locked in the Jeep while I'm at work, it's too big to carry (legally). I'm hoping some day I'll run across a Lambsfoot with a 2-1/2" or smaller blade so I can carry one at work.

These stickers are on the tailgate of my Jeep. Can anyone identify them? :D

I bet @glennbad could do that John

Cool pic my friend, hope you had fun in your Jeep

JohnDF JohnDF ^ A count of how many guys in Batman costumes you have clipped with your truck?

R

:D

This keeps echoing in my head. I hope everything is okay, Jack.

Thanks John, I have other things echoing in my head!  ;)

Just remember, everything is better on the rocks...

Another excellent pic :)

Your AC looks better and better Vince

TGIF fellow Guardians. I carry a Lambsfoot because...

it looks so good in the morning light!

There is no way I can be gone for a day and come back to six pages of Guardian posts and think I can reply. But, I must say that your Ivory Lambsfoot, Jack Black, is the most elegant knife I have seen!

Looking forward to the mailman/woman bringing that UK posted package. Thanks, Jack, so much, for all that you do. Preston

It sure does Preston :)

Thank you for the compliment, it was made for me by Ashley's dad :)

I'm not sure what that is exactly, but it is freakin' awesome! I so need to make a knife display stand inspired by this! :D

Hoping my lambsfoot shows up in the mailbox this afternoon, so I'll finally have something to post in this thread.

Hope you have a speedy recovery
Thanks Matt. :) My 13 yr old grandson, Gage, is the creator. He's already a major gear head and coming along well as a welder. He made this little guy a couple years ago.imagejpeg_0_49.JPG

Great reading guys- just Wow!! I am cursing somewhat that the train left me behind with the Lambsfoot- well not really because I carry My Ebony with me on a regular EDC rotation.
Chin....my friend I couldn't even begin to quote your posts- just fantastic - LOVE the photos my friend.

In fact this thread is such a meticulously looked after thread by Jack thats its so neat coming in and catching up- there is SO SO much going on, and to be honest, I can honestly say that Jack Sir- a Massive THANK YOU from the knife World I am sure you do so much more than what we see for the Traditional Knife World- and I really appreciate this- you are an amazing guy, Charlie is know well and truly as the god father of the TC Barlows- and for awakening such fine Traditional Patterns up, Jack you my friend can take sole ownership of doing this for the Lambsfoot in my opinion.

Reading your plan for this years one.... Oh I'm sweating now, Pruner Frame!!!! YES!!!!!! Swage Work!!!!! YES!!!!! Ironwood + Blade etch + Rats Tail..............Jack you have hit that nail right dead centre on the head sir, I would order a good handful of those myself in all seriousness if you were dependent on order numbers!, but lets not flog forum rules because we all know if this knife comes out- they are gone before you could raise the start flag.

Great reading folks, great viewing!

Thanks, Jack, so much, for all that you do. Preston

Well put Duncan and Preston!
And thanks Jack for being so patient with some of us knuckleheads!:D:thumbsup:

Just wow!:cool::thumbsup:

Good morning all!

Great picture and so nice to see a young man with actual tools in hand. I've had my sons help repair all types of things with hand and power tools since they were old enough to hold them.
And of course, they carry knives. :)

Great photo! Our old Wrangler was red, sure miss it...and the old jeep wave!
Lambsfoot to large to be legal in Cali? Man, that is some messed up laws out there!
Sorry, I don't get the reference for the decals...

Although I never use a jackknife in the kitchen, Rose Beast sliced the mold of a piece of cheese that had been around long enough.

Harry and Chin, it is strictly my doing that GEC is making that new Lambfoot at 3 7/8".
Harry it reflects the Joseph Rodgers knives - exactly the same length.
Pretty close to 4 " I'd say!:)
Sorry it's a little long for you Chin; we can only do one length at a time!
It's over three years since I started nudging Bill to make it. He has promised it before the end of this year - some time in the fall. It may not make it before the Rendezvous, but one can dream!!
Charlie. It doesn’t matter to me what form the GEC Lambfoot takes. The fact that you are involved is sufficient. I would be thrilled if the only GEC I purchased in 2019 is this one. It will be for me a true heirloom.

Bigger knives are legal in California, but not on public school campuses, and I'm a teacher. So I'm limited to a non-locking knife with a blade 2-1/2" or shorter while I'm at work.

Exactly, thanks for the help.

Thank you Chin for your kind words. I'm afraid I've been posting recycled photos since the surgery. Although I have been attempting to take a few.
You have made another fantastic post. I enjoy immensely your acute attention to detail and the beautiful photography.

Have a great day Guardians.

Cool photo Dwight, I hope you're mending OK

Really a great looking Lambsfoot handled in ivory, Jack. Was that done at Wrights?
And darn good to see that Campbellclanman has finally joined this motley crew. :)

Thanks pal, it was, I wish I could have got more than one. I had a long chat with Michael, who crafted The Yorkshire Rose (Was it dc50 dc50 who coined the name?) earlier, and then another long chat with John Maleham :)

That is simply exquisite, I could look at that knife all day...but, would rather it be in my hand, but also glad it's in yours. Preston

Thanks Preston :)

Here in the south we eat a lot of grits. My grit bowl this am with bacon, cheese, eggs and onions!!

Great Lambsfoot-in-the-kitchen pics guys

Nicely said, Charlie has the touch of gold
