Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thought of your son yesterday, Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 , when my wife returned from visiting her retired uncle with this gift in hand. Happy weekend Guardians!

Thanks Bob. you as well !

Awesome Oates, Steve 👍 I wonder what "Current" signified. Possibly they went from a swayback to straight handle 🤔

Thanks, I'm not sure about that as it is a swayback.

Happy Saturday to all you Guardians!, I am recuperating nicely from another procedure. Geez, getting older isn't for cowards. Sorry for being absent for so long. But I have been catching up with this discussion group. Thought I would post a photo of my favorite piece of cutlery.

Nice Rope lamb !

Shameless plug for our dear friend sbh06 sbh06 . That man can do some leatherwork.

Having a decent weekend. Oldest has a girlfriend so as Uncle Si would say…….He gone. I swear I just see that kid in passing now. Got this lovely ‘18 in the pocket.

Paul my friend- yep…. He’s gone. 🤣😊😍
Watching them grow is an amazing thing isn’t it.

I have two girls - each of them are the World to me, my oldest who has gifted us a wee treasured boy.

From a Dad who meant the World to her -she then falls in love with a Aussie guy ( real nice guy though) then have a wee boy.
I see my rank falling down the list rapidly 🤣

With a tinge of sadness that those days are gone - replaced by her making a wonderful life in another country in love with a fantastic guy with a gorgeous wee boy is pretty amazing and beautiful to watch.

She asked me to walk her down the aisle - It hit me again - the custom is to give your daughter away to her chosen man, I said to her “ but I don’t want to give you away” 🤣😂

Edited- grammar

Don’t worry Paul you are always going to be the fixer/banker of choice.

Ah no! 😖 At least you have that lovely Lambsfoot to warm your hands on! :D Great pic Paul  Unexploded bombs from WW2 used to turn up all the time when I was a kid, sea-mines too. Even today, every few years, there's a story in the papers. When I was a boy, my grandfather once asked me, "Have I ever shown you my bomb?" He had it in the cellar, and I was only a little lad, he went ahead to make sure I'd be able to get down the cellar steps. A minute later, he shouts to my grandmother, "Where's me bomb Elsie?!" She replied, "Oh, I gave it scrap-man ages ago!" People were very casual about munitions in those days! 🫣:D:thumbsup:

Good to hear buddy :) 👍

Hope everyone is having a good day :) Despite the rain, the temperatures have got a bit milder these past couple of days, and after picking up a coffee on the way to the market, I spent about 4 hours with Tool Man. Boring Ray was there, and Golden Gordon and Robert The Badge, and Knobber Al was back for the first time in 6 weeks. Al reckoned his absence was caused by an issue with his van, which sounded like an excuse! Ex-Para Steve was down, as well as Slimline Scott :) The market was busier than I've seen it in a while, and Tool Man seemed to have a better day than he has had recently. The problem though, is that he has very little on his stall, and nothing of any value, so he's only making pennies. He shared a pork pie with Boring Ray, and admired my new Lamb, particularly when I told him I had compared him to Agent Orange! :D The Teds are off to Blackpool this weekend for a big 'Ted Do'. This used to happen in September, but the organisers packed it in last year. This 'Ted Do' was traditionally on the East Coast, but the organisers have taken in the slack, and moved it to Blackpool. I told Tool Man I'd look out for him on TV - 'Crimewatch'! D I may have time for a nap ;)

Good to hear things have picked up a little at the market! Hopefully that’ll keep up as the weather gets nicer.

Thanks for the market report, Jack. Hopefully it will start getting busy again!

This GL-24 is on fire! 🔥 I have the replacement grill thermometer in the background. I was tipped off to a false reading when I was cooking chicken breast that took forever even though the thermometer was reading above 600°F.

You mean it’s not current 450°F where you are? 🤣 Good to see you’re GL-24.

Turquoise has a protective quality!! Especially pure, untreated stones!!

Your Hartshead is looking good, Charlie! My grandpa was a big turquoise guy. Unfortunately I don’t know what ever happened to all that he had.

Jeremy does great work! This slip pulls double duty for both of my Cosimo Lambs.

He also made the slip for my Rhidian What-A-Lamb, which turned out perfect!

It was 55 degrees yesterday. A high of 32 today with a chance of snow. Actually it's 35 now. And/but it's supposed to be sunny.
Good luck Jer, I hope you get a good day, despite those pesky weather-forecasters!
Lovely knife and picture, Jack.

What's the story with the castle at the bottom left of the frame, if you know?
Thanks Will :) I have to say, I don't actually know, just one of the castles to the west of Sheffield :)
Good morning and happy Saturday 👍

Happy Saturday, Guardians! More stag for breakfast today. I’ll try to share some fancy wine pics from the Bordeaux party — if I remember to take them 🤪🍷 View attachment 3119186
