Why Thank you Sir Jack
Guys and Gals- I met Jack a few years ago when he was SO kind to host Sue and I for the whole day- boy..... Jack took us around all of Sheffield, we met that lovely guy Stan and had such a great long chat - I kinda sank a weee bit when I left because Jacks the kind of guy you fall instantly in friends with.
My communication sucks at the best of times, but Jack my friend you are with me so much.
Now I find myself like the kid hanging around the neighbourhood Gang - wanting to join and get my patch! I see plenty of guys running with the Guardians logo on their sig line! The gangs GROWING Jack!
So how does one add his name to the Guardian map, and get added to the list Sir?
Heya Barrett Matey- How are you ? Please.... bang me on there my friend, Auckland New Zealand kind Sir!
Ok...so to let you know where I am with my Lambsfoot Knives...

Oh for Pete's sake....![]()
I just wrote a huge rant then realized it wasn't what we do on this thread so deleted it. So all I'll say is....That's why I don't watch the BBC anymore.
Anyway I know it's snowing in Yorkshire at the mo' Jack, so I hope you make it across the no-mans land of the Vale of York fighting Yeti's and zombie snowmen. That is of course if the 1 inch of snow hasn't completely cut York off....
Amen to that....

Morning Guardians. John, it seems we have twins, and you're enjoying yours as much as I'm mine.

Good morning Guardians!

David everything you and Jack have said about this PERFECTLY describes the reactions here in Arkansas. A 1" snowfall paralyzes the state. Within hours the highways are littered with stalled and or crashed vehicles, grocery store shelves are empty and the local news is running around the clock with minute by minute updates on the unfolding catastrophe.

Thank you Jack.Cool pic Dave![]()

Not seeing the picture, Jack. Hope you post it later. And welcome back, hope it was a good day. There were a whole load of ice sculptures in York, some were pretty incredible, but some not so much, and a lot of corporate ones too. I took this pic for you![]()

Thanks Jack...just a lot of rain and wind so far....they are saying snow on Monday and Tuesday.
That's awesome, Jack. It's nice to see people give homage to our alien overlordshere it is

Your radiant Lambsfoot seems to be melting the snow.Up to 25F today. This lambsfoot in my pocket.

Barrett my friend- your a Legend, Thank You!Duncan, I've got you on the map, my friend... only our second Guardian in the Southern Hemisphere!![]()
I love the grain on your rosewood, GT.
...
Thanks, John. Yours seems to have a different kind of grain that's real attractive, too; I/m guessing they're two different species of rosewood.
18.5" seems like too much in a single serving, Harry.Don't feel like the Lone Ranger my friend . After last night and this morning , the snow on top of our patio table measured 18 & 1/2 inches . And tomorrows temperatures will be dropping like a rock from the current 4 F to -20 some F .
Harry
Good morning Guardians! Our weather is showing its pile side this morning so I figured I’d do the same with my Lambsfoot of choice for today!

I agree with Harry, Ron, and given that I inexplicably am drawn to staglon, I think there's some staglon that's better than some stag. That is some nice Sambar Russell! My friend Harry once told me, there’s no bad Stag, but some is better than others!

Jer, I sure hope you're right about winter being on the ropes. I seem to have come down with the worst case of SAD I've ever experienced this week....
I realize I don't take many outdoor shots. It's the Pre-Raphaelite in me. I can worship nature just fine from my north-facing atelier.
We're in for a couple of days with highs around 0*F, but well above freezing on Saturday. Winter is on the ropes!

Now I'm out of snow pictures.
That's a great shot of your AC, Vince!View attachment 1063014
Good morning, Guardians!

Pretty as a picture, Dwight!
I'm glad to hear you had your shoulder surgery, Dwight. Thanks Dennis. It's a recycled photo. My right arm is immobilized for the next six weeks so I'm relegated to my left hand only. Very slow typing.![]()
As other, more timely, Guardians have noted, that's a fine flock you have, Brent!I want to apply for entrance to The Guardians..... I bought a single Lambsfoot about 3 weeks ago and fell in love with it, warts and all...…. So I bought 3 more & received them yesterday...……. So now it is a herd of 4..... I live just south of Rochester, NY..… I have no connection with NYC and have never been there, even though I have lived in NY 58 of my 69 years.... I am a retired manufacturing manager of heavy machining; a USAF Viet Nam Vet; and have somewhere around 200 knives...…… So all that and $.50 will buy you a small coffee.... Attached is a picture of the herd...…….. I enjoy reading this thread & it sounds like you are a nice group...…….. Thanks for the correction, Jack. They did very well for you GTI correct you only so you don't fail to find it should you ever visit - it's actually Barnitt's
...
Cool scratches, Russell! One of my AC’s also wears battle scars, or fencing scratches. Part of the life history of the Stag, which I think adds to it’s appeal. Many a knife company shy away from using this natural type of stag.

Oops, that leaves me out - mea culpa....
Thanks John, it's been a VERY stressful 24 hours. Thanks to those of you who haven't made it even more stressful :grumpy:![]()
Pretty as a picture, Dwight!
I'm glad to hear you had your shoulder surgery, Dwight.I hope the recovery (6 weeks!) and subsequent rehab are relatively pain-free, and that you're blessed with patience and optimism for the duration.
Thanks GT, mine is African Rosewood. Thanks, John. Yours seems to have a different kind of grain that's real attractive, too; I/m guessing they're two different species of rosewood.
Yeah, haven't made it to Puerto Rico yet!Nice pic Vince, when I looked at it on my phone, I thought it was the real deal!![]()

Thanks, Gary! That's a great shot of your AC, Vince!![]()
Hey Gary! Whats up?Thanks, John. Yours seems to have a different kind of grain that's real attractive, too; I/m guessing they're two different species of rosewood.
18.5" seems like too much in a single serving, Harry.Glad you have the machinery to handle it!
I agree with Harry, Ron, and given that I inexplicably am drawn to staglon, I think there's some staglon that's better than some stag. But it's all so subjective, who likes what.
Jer, I sure hope you're right about winter being on the ropes. I seem to have come down with the worst case of SAD I've ever experienced this week.Great snow shot of Old Toffeewing, and I can probably come up with a couple of snow shots. Can't believe how low some of the Kalamazoo temps were this week! Here's a photo from the corner of my garage, looking across my driveway toward the bakery kitty-corner across the alley the driveway leads to. Looks like a good, clear driveway, eh?

But if I pivot to my right, you'll see the snow that fell in the alley Monday where I piled it:

The 18 &1/2 inches of snow on our patio table came from 2 snowfalls . I was seeing that you guys over there were getting Lake Effect snow loooooooong after the snow stoped here . I would suspect that you folks got much more snow than we did from the looks of what you are showing , and I have plenty of space to reposition ours to . Nice picture of your lambsfoot and nice sunny day my friend .Thanks, John. Yours seems to have a different kind of grain that's real attractive, too; I/m guessing they're two different species of rosewood.
