Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

How big is your Japanese drum Jer? I've seen a few of the CS African walking sticks here, but they're huge, and look like clubs! 😱😁 I look forward to seeing your Walkabout cane πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

It made for a great pic at least Steve πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

Thanks, it's mostly melted away πŸ‘

I hope everyone is having a good day :) I dodged the emails and housework, and walked down to Charlie's cafe, phoning Tool Man on the way to let him know I'd be at the market tomorrow. After coffee, I went into town, and called in at The Yorkshire Shop in Leeds Corn Exchange, grabbed a samosa in the market, went to the bank, picked up some shopping, and then called in Leeds Art Gallery. Art galleries aren't somewhere I visit very often, but I fancied having a look at the John Atkinson Grimshaw exhibition they have on. A friend of mine has just retired after working at the art gallery for many years, so I was sure to speak to one of his former colleagues, and tell her I was sorry to hear about him being sacked after yet another incident. She looked suitably horrified! :D There's a very nice cafe there, where I happened to bump into a pal, and an Irish mate of his, from Newry, so we had a good chat over tea and cake. I then went off to meet Wolfie for coffee, so it was quite a nice afternoon :)

Twelve feet across. There's nothing like it for tuning in to the vibes of the locals.😁

It seems to me strange that Cold Steel appears to be clueless about canes/sticks. I've handled the blackthorn, and I think the knobkerry. The blackthorn looks very natural except the knob is huge compared to any real one I've seen. Almost too big to grip as a handle. I've handled one real knobkerry, and the knob was much smaller than the CS I remember. The real one was so handleable that I didn't realize what it was until I was told.

I had that 1" cane tip in the basement. A crutch-tip height one would look better.

Handsome pic Will  I received a nice bolt-action pen from Paul Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 last week :) I have a few, but it's my new favourite :)

He's an excellent fellow and I'm not at all surprised. Glad you like the pen. I have some needle-tip G2 refills on the way. In my heart, I'm a Pilot Precise V.5 man despite their leaking and fading and all the rest. I've gotta have a needle tip though.

Will, I received my first sunburn yesterday....and I am not a tourist.

Depending on how many times you've rolled coal on an EV, you might be well on your way to "redneck!" πŸ˜‚

This could've been the opener to a great Monty Python bit. Just sayin'.

CS seems to be aiming for more acceptable carry clubs rather than walking sticks or canes.
Over an inch thick with no ergonomic comfort layer such as cork or rubber with regular use would be jarring.
They did get the city stick right 19mm shaft and smaller head, with 3/4 inch shaft easier to manipulate and comfortably use.
If you want a really thick sturdy cane the brazos oak crook cane has an inch thick shaft but the curves of the handle is contoured. I find mine comfortable to use for long use

This is my favourite style of a foot. Flexyfoot make shock absorber style foot. I want to try 1 but have plenty of feet in the cupboard to useπŸ™„πŸ˜

Happy belated birthday, Rufus1949 Rufus1949 !

Swapped back to the IXL for today. I think I need to give this one another sharpen, or possibly it has some blade rap right at the tip.

That's what I thought when I saw the Blackthorn Jer. There's actually a shop down near the market that stocks them (sells a strange mixture of weapons and drug paraphernalia). Thanks for the great pics

It's good to see you here, and with that elegant trio :)
Glad you like it, Jack. I tried the fancy pen thing but turns out I’m a Bic pen man 🀣

Reckon so Mitch :) Your City Stick is a classic though :)

After the movie I saw earlier in the week, I keep thinking of this scene from Young Frankenstein! :D

Good morning Guardians, it's still cool here, but after the wet winter we've had, it's nice to have a few days without rain. I'll be heading down to the market after I've had a shave. Hope everyone has a good day :) Got L'Ariete in my pocket - shown here with my cool pen! :)

I like to do my research and when trying to find legitimate info about CS walking sticks it’s videos of violent water melons or bottles of water attacking poor defenceless CS users.
These items must have a personal grudge against CS. You don’t see other brand users being attacked by inanimate objects on a regular basisπŸ˜‰
