Thanks a lot Steve, my lollgagging/housework was interrupted by Matt, who was heading up to the supermarket to buy flowers for his mother, who was visiting later. The supermarket happens to be next door to the pub, so he wondered if I fancied a pint in the sunshine I decided to get a bit of shopping in myself, and by the time I had come out of the supermarket, Matt was sat outside the pub with a pint, and the flowers beside him. I got myself a pint, and we ended up having a couple, and then walking back down the hill

Have fun Bob! The kids here have 2 weeks off school, and it will be mayhem tomorrow as thousands of youngsters rampage through Leeds, under the escort of their shell-shocked grandparents! There'll be major delays on public transport as some of the old folks realise they haven't taken a pushchair onto a bus for decades!

2 weeks school holidays here too. I don’t know if the Sister in Law will be taking time off, works for Kristy. The niece is 14 She’s a good Mum tuned in checks online presence all good. Well she was telling our Lorna about it earlier this year. Lorna shows her where there is a private section on snap chat that you can keep your videos. Low and behold videos of the niece and her friends drinking alcohol and vaping, SIL showed the other parents.
Technology has made kids dumb, filming your crimes
We were angel as children, well there was a lack of evidence.

That looks kind of like an Arms and Armor Hewing Spear. Any details on that would be appreciated - thanks.

I think the Tiger Claw catalogue called it a bodyguard spear, maybe in the early eighties. I had it on a non-tapered bo from the same catalogue, with a shoe from a Chilean lance, but I sawed the head and foot off again to use the stave for a bit of missing railing when we were selling the old house. I've started drilling the wood out of the head, and I'll put head and foot onto something smaller, like a four or five foot shovel handle, depending on what will fit.
(The Chilean lance head is happy on a 6-foot piece of bamboo.)

There is a major golf tournament here, equivalent to your British Open. They close schools and other services here because of the horrendous traffic. Many people rent out their homes and leave.

I lived in Fayetteville, Arkansas for several years, and every fall there was this huge motorcycle rally. The first few years I lived there, as a college student, it was kind of fun. But after a few years, you start to understand why a lot of locals just get the hell out of town when the bikes start rolling in.

A week ago today I finished digging 14 post holes in my front yard where the posts for our vineyard will go. This wrecked my back the worst it's been since 2012 (when I was flat in bed for three weeks and needed a cane to walk for another three). I only needed the cane for a couple of days this time, but I have missed a lot of work - I think I've only put in nine hours total since then.

There was a discussion of canes here recently; my Cold Steel African Walking Stick has always served me quite well. Still carrying the HHB (partly because it's too hard right now to get into the low drawer where my other lambs are). Hopefully will be back to full speed by the end of this week.

Nice John, I keep meaning to get myself one! I like your cap too mate I have been pondering whether or not I need to hang up my tweed cap until the Autumn, but am always loathe to do so. I went to a wedding last week, and half the people there thought I was bald, never having seen me without a cap before!

LOL! You are right mate, Wolfie and Matt are always telling me how bad their kids are at covering their misdemeanours! We didn't have a phone when I was a kid, so the school couldn't ring!

Good morning Guardians, me and Matt had discussed doing something with his kids today, but when he asked his little 'un what she wanted to do, she answered, "SLEEP!" I need to go into town, pick up some bread, and get some jeans taken up, as well as call in the bank. I'll definitely be calling in the cafe too Carrying this TA Lamb today.
