Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thanks buddy !

Enjoy your day Jack šŸ‘
Thanks a lot Steve, my lollgagging/housework was interrupted by Matt, who was heading up to the supermarket to buy flowers for his mother, who was visiting later. The supermarket happens to be next door to the pub, so he wondered if I fancied a pint in the sunshine ;) I decided to get a bit of shopping in myself, and by the time I had come out of the supermarket, Matt was sat outside the pub with a pint, and the flowers beside him. I got myself a pint, and we ended up having a couple, and then walking back down the hill
Lowe's was closed on Easter, for the seventh or so year in a row. I don't work Sundays anyway, so I'll ask Ashley about getting paid for not working twice.
And how many people have to die before I get a new pair of Lowe's-safe gloves?
I have to nip in there today anyway, for some insect repellent and a half-round or rat-tail file or probably both.
For my farm sharpening box.
I wish I could send you a few old files Jer, but the postage would probably leave me destitute ;) I used to get them for Stan Shaw, who particularly liked half-round files, and they are still on his bench in the Sheffield museum

The glinting black shape is one of my favorite magnifying glasses in a protective sock.
Nice to see your glinting black Lambsfoot too Jer ;)

Thanks for the thought.
I have some old files from the glory days, but no half-round I can lay my hands on. I have a couple of rat-tails downstairs on my rolltop desk, but they're too long for my sharpening box. Or that's my excuse for buying more.

That looks kind of like an Arms and Armor Hewing Spear. Any details on that would be appreciated - thanks.

Entertaining a two year old this morning. We will both be napping soon.View attachment 3152685
Have fun Bob! 😁 The kids here have 2 weeks off school, and it will be mayhem tomorrow as thousands of youngsters rampage through Leeds, under the escort of their shell-shocked grandparents! 😱 There'll be major delays on public transport as some of the old folks realise they haven't taken a pushchair onto a bus for decades! šŸ«£šŸ˜‚

There is a major golf tournament here, equivalent to your British Open. They close schools and other services here because of the horrendous traffic. Many people rent out their homes and leave.

Good Monday to you. Last evening I enjoyed listening to Richard Thompson at the Rio here in Santa Cruz. It was actually sold out. Maybe there was a senior discount I didn’t know about. The theater holds a thousand or so. It’s not a beautiful art deco type theater like the Orpheum chain. It’s outfitted with a decent P.A. and lights though. There is an exit door on each side of the stage. There is no backstage area backstage. The backstage area is the old projection room upstairs which is right next to the Men’s Restroom. In line outside a person was telling us about the Nick Lowe show the previous week. Lowe left the stage and went right out one of the exit doors which locked behind him. He had to walk around the side to the front entrance. As people were waiting for an encore he was out front trying to get back in.

I actually made it through the show without having to hit the restroom. But as soon as the encore ended I made my move. But so did all my fellow seniors. It reminded me of the old guy Tim Conway played on the Carol Burnett show. The aisle was packed with folks shuffling along with baby steps. But I made it to the Restroom. While standing there in line doing the I gotta pee shuffle I got to see Richard Thompson making his way through the RR crowd to the old projection room with his guitar. I wanted to say, ā€œ great show but I can’t talk as I really gotta peeā€ but I held back. He didn’t want to talk. That RR line could potentially be dangerous.

On the drive home the mountain lion that hangs out around here ran right across me as I was turning into the driveway. All in all a pretty good night out.

I'm glad the concert was a success Kurt. Interesting animals you have running around.

Great shadow lamb with sweet covers.

You got golfers I have turkeys and lions. The woodpeckers finally showed up. I hadn’t seen them yet and was hoping they’re ok. I have been enjoying your new knives from Cosimo. I have one in the queue. I have no idea what the international shipping hassles are now.

It’s yet another knife that doesn’t get used enough. I do enjoy it though. Wright should have done more in the way of bone.
They were a very lazy firm Paul
Delicioso!!
Thanks Bob, not often I have salads! :D

I can relate my friend. It's nowhere as bad as that, but several weekends a year, I am marooned where I live because of sporting events closing the roads. I wish they'd alternate the routes a bit šŸ¤”

That's hilarious Kurt! :D
"But I'm Richard Thompson!"
"Course you are buddy! You're not getting in for free!"

Probably going to cost a bit more I reckon :(
